Agreed. I'm pretty apolitical really. Certainly with regards to UK politics, as I don't live there anymore. But, he's a human being at the end of the day. With family (including a pregnant partner). Some of the stuff on here earlier, that we cleaned up while the thread was locked, was pretty shabby, putting it mildly.

Nah. You (anyone) can’t read into the tone of voice of things when just reading words. Things can be read very differently to what they were intended to be put out as. Probably right to delete them but in my opinion I read nothing shabby at all.

Decision makers sorted this out a few days ago. Just because he's front of house doesn't mean he's running the shop.

It's clear he's the point man while Boris is in hospital. If the worst happens it will probably be Gove or possibly Hunt running the country.

Yep there were a lot of bugs going round this year. The timing makes it impossible to be this though as you’d still have had the percentage getting seriously ill and taking up the hospital beds and they’d have at that point noticed it was a new virus.

Under normal circumstances that would be true. The best case scenario is this move was prompted because there's a possibility of his condition dangerously deteriorating, rather than a consequence of it actually having deteriorated.

The speed this gets you, he was clapping on Thursday outside number 10 for the nhs , not too looking great but dressed up and clapping , but a few days later he is in intensive care . Grim

I’m hoping they’ve done it to take no risks, rather than him being at that stage.

Whilst no life is worth more than another, the bloke running the country shouldn’t be risked at all and therefore they may have hopefully moved him into the ICU to make sure it doesn’t happen to the PM, rather than him being at the stage where he’s desperate.

Has anybody heard of anyone actually having these "mild" symptoms? Everyone I've read who had it says it was fucking awful, even if they didnt have to go to hospital.

Pretty sure I've got it now but very mild. I feel at about 90% with no obvious symptoms. The missus has got all the main symptoms at the minute and is struggling. I've not had a warm meal in days.

Got to agree I have had harsh words for Boris in the past, but never wishing harm on him or anyone else.

Anyone who thinks politics are of any importance right now should be just a little ashamed. Beating this virus is all that matters the rest can and must wait.

Anyone posting suggesting any level of happiness due to Boris's illness should be thoroughly fucking ashamed. The bloke has a pregnant partner and is a human being.
