Positive news about Corona Virus Updates

At least it looks like the Czechs are going to get a Summer holiday! Also opening all shops by the end of May and rumours of restaurants and pubs being open again by the end of June. I have a bit of a vested interest in this as we're supposed to be moving there for a couple of years from this Summer (if the borders are open for entry for non-Czech citizens).

There have been no reported deaths from Covid-19 in South Korea in the last 24 hours - the first time in a month that's happened.

The Centre for Disease Control (KCDC) also reported only six new cases of the infection – the lowest recorded daily total since 18 February.

I don't think so, although I thought I'd heard about this a few days ago. Might have been about the same place beginning trials.
I've got to say that I'd not realised ventilator recoveries were so low.
I don't know the medical history of the patients but the ones shown looked like they may have underlying conditions with weight at least. Which makes it even more remarkable.

That would appear to be very similar to the devices made by the British consortium which are a non invasive device.

It’s interesting. I read a couple of articles where medical staff said that ventilators seemed to do more harm than good. It would seem from the article that @ganganvince posted that these machines have been used in Italy and China to good effect.
 
In Spain, the number of new coronavirus-related deaths has dropped to the lowest daily level in over a month.

Sounds promising , raises the question though do we have enough of these black boxes, or should we be shifting production from ventilators to these. Also is this similar to the CPAP machines and did the F1 team production meet their target of thousands of CPAP s went a bit quiet on them ?
 
Went a bit quiet on all that didn't it? Dyson, G-Tech etc. Not sure if they simply didn't have the requirement for them in the end (which would be positive news). Cynical side of me suggests some of these companies have had a bit of an boost in awareness since they got involved.
Not that I'm over thinking all that at the moment. I still think that due to the sheer numbers of people looking into this global pandemic they've probably learned so much more for future virus control and understanding (and possibly accidental findings that are positive for other things in life).
 
Desperately hoping that this thread will have some genuinely encouraging news one day soon. Really need a light at the end of the tunnel. Feels relentlessly shite at the moment. A treatment, a breakthrough... anything.
