The minute most people go back to work then all social distancing will be a thing of the past.
People will think, what's the point in social distancing as when i'm in work no one cares, so why should i stop having my mates around for a party etc
I haven't made my mind up if they have done a good job or not yet, what i will say is that they have reacted well to the situation with regard to the Furlough scheme, support for business and the Nightingale hospitals. But given how far ahead of the curve we were with regard to being 3 weeks behind Italy and 2 weeks behind Spain I am not sure they have done such a good job overall.
I suppose the only real measure will be in 12 months when we get a clearer picture of the overall death toll and impact on the economy.
FFS.
Personally, I can’t help but like the guy.
Never been interested in politics, and consequently I’ve always judged our PM’s on personality and likeability - hence for me never had a problem with Blair, Cameron or Boris, but never liked May or Brown and wouldn’t have liked Corbyn.

It wasn’t overwhelmed, there may be an excess of deaths because people got the wrong message with other conditions, it was never overwhelmed though. Why does Johnson keep saying the NHS hasn't been overwhelmed?
Whitty has just put him right there by referencing all the excess deaths as a result of people unable to get NHS treatment for other conditions.
There's no way a lot of people are going into work & then not having friends or family round for a bbq at the weekend. Why's work ok but having friends around not, is what a lot of people will say.To be fair, we were only out of work for a couple of days before returning and the social distancing at work has been managed much better than I expected.
I know what you mean though, some people will just think if they are ok to work then they are ok to socialise.
Whether they have or not I am absolutely sure as human beings they are tying their absolute best.
Yes, i agree absolutely.
Aye, but this has happened for weeksHospital figures earlier, but now we are adding outside ones in as well.
Arnie Schwarzenegger already has some online, I reckon they will be the latest fashion item with holes for straws so you can drink in pubsI also predict by next winter that face-masks will be a legitimate fashion item seen more often in UK streets. I know we're seeing a few already but the worry is the front line health workers need these before the 'influencers' promote them on the gram.
Nike, Under Armour...flipping Gucci...they'll all be at it.
Unfuckinbelievble wasn't it.We've avoided the tragedy in other countries????
Err... we've got our own tragedy going on here!!
Does he realise how he comes across on tv, he would do well on talk sportNo surprise, Peston with a nonsensical question.

I don't know what the answer is, i've been in work all along & the 2m rule has been impossible to keep to
UK locked down a week after Spain and 2 weeks after Italy. This Saturday here in Spain the lockdown essentially will be the same as the UK. In other words we can go out for a 60 minute walk, cycle etc. The only stipulation is that we stay within a kilometre of home.Yeah I think people forget we are behind the likes of Italy by about 3/4 weeks
Unfuckinbelievble wasn't it.
