There is nothing to apologise for and it’s not a mob mentality. People are trying to steer you in the right direction because at this moment in time, you are wrong.

You may well believe that you and those you want to see are safe but there is zero guarantee that is the case. You will follow the guidelines, but thousands won’t and that makes what you are suggesting unsafe.

What you are suggesting is coming from your heart. We all feel those feelings but fella, it is a selfish mentality on your part as things currently stand.

Depends what you mean by overwhelmed,everybody that needed a critical care bed/ventilating got one,every one who needed to be admitted got a bed,all the staff that came back meant we had the staff,that is the basic parameters

Overwhelmed in terms over PPE,absolutely,imo that is why we have lost so many staff,could anyone ever expect this to happen at all let alone on this scale,it has been a waking nightmare for staff who were not prepared for this,mentally the toll on them will last for decades

This has never happened to us before,we had to set up things we will never need again in our life times,preparation for a pandemic is an argument for later

Most of the excess deaths are in the community,where sadly we didn't protect them

You are just going with the herd and seem to need others to back up your argument. Another thing. If it's so contagious why aren't supermarket workers dropping like flys? They are surrounded by people all day, yet they say we shouldn't go and see family.

As for the rest of your post, look at the death numbers. Socially distancing is working dramatically in limiting the death rate.

if you are disputing how many deaths are related to the virus, just looking at the spike in excess deaths suggests that the virus is having a profound effect on our death toll, however sceptical you are at how the deaths are recorded.

I go to work doing just that every day. Except I've not bought into the sharade. Don't get me wrong I completely understand people are scared and I'll respect the 2m rule and all that and wear PPE .

Its sickens me people are dying alone. No way on this earth anything would stop me seeing my sick mother or even friend for that matter. Heartless swine whoever made that rule. People can still go B&Q or work in factory packing shoes but people can't see family. Feck that.

I'm sure there will be exceptions but there is a lot of evidence. Very counter intuitive as schools are normally "Spread Central" in flu epidemics but there you go.

Press have been using images of coffins from a distaster in 2013 and saying they were Covid19 deaths. The media lie don't believe a ducking word pal. I'll post evidence when on laptop.

My argument is that many people will not do what you will do or what I would do in that situation. It would become a free for all once measures like this get lifted.

There is also no guarantee that any family is safe no matter what we may believe. To keep this thing away we are literally washing hands after everything we touch that has come from outside. Everything. Many are also asymptomatic.

It just presents too many problems mate and however safe me, you or others do it, there are way too many that won’t.

It’s always the minority that fucking ruin it for the majority.

I don’t know is the honest answer. I know nothing of the Tanzanian government nor their testing abilities. Did they use a haruspex to look at its liver?

Except its the sensible people who are trying to keep the rules who are banned from seeing their loved ones from umpteen meters away whilst scallies on their bikes are riding shoulder to shoulder along tracks already filled with joggers. I tend to agree. We’ve not been great under these current guidelines, so keeping them the same cannot do much harm.

However, people need hope. If they can come up with some meaningless and harmless way of suggesting they are easing the lockdown, then it will be a morale boost.

Ultimately, we need to keep as far apart as we can for as long as possible. We need PR people to come up with ways of “easing the lockdown” bit by bit, whilst keeping the necessary social distancing for as long as is Britishly possible,
