First time out this morning after 4 weeks off due to back Injury, only lasted 2 miles at average pace of 9:43 per mile but good to blow the cobwebs away and glorious morning on the sea front
Exactly - much better than sitting on your @rse thinking about running............First time out this morning after 4 weeks off due to back Injury, only lasted 2 miles at average pace of 9:43 per mile but good to blow the cobwebs away and glorious morning on the sea front
Never really thought about it like that but it makes perfect sense.45 mins at "conversational pace" as advised by I think @Stuuuuuu round the Dream at 7.30am.
Beautiful morning, sunny and that lovely "fresh" feeling.
I feel fucking ace.
Give the body what it needs and it repays you.
Never really thought about it like that but it makes perfect sense.
Still won't put an end to the amount of supping I do mind........
Dug it out, tyres are knackered I think. Haven't got a clue where to start with bikes either. Might have to wait for the local shop to open up and take it in.Get it out mate, do some hills on it and it’ll help with the running, will be better than the running for you while you have the hip pain.
Get tyres inflated and just go out for a gentle ride, check brakes are working first though!! Once out go through all your gears seeing if you’ve any issues then take to shop, Halfords are already open if you need them to do anything.Dug it out, tyres are knackered I think. Running and cycling compliment each other and I have been doing both now for the past 25 years. I started as a cyclist competing in time trials and one winter decided to extend the training by taking up running. The following summer my Times improved and I beat the hour for a 25 mile TT for the first time. I then started running more and progressed to marathons whilst still maintaining the cycling, but to a reduced amount. So on yer bike!Pain in my hip today so didnt go for the C25k, did a slow 5k walk this evening just to catch the last of the sun and at least get out of the house. Aiming to do the C25K starting Monday.
Definitely thinking about tying together running with getting on the bike, got a 2011/12 specialised road bike in the garage collecting dust which back in the day was decent spec. Will dig it out tomorrow and see how its looking.
Everything in moderation. I enjoy the beer more after running but not the other way round. Reminds me of the Triple Hundred Challenge. Drink a 100 pints of beer and run a 100 miles in a 100 hours. I've never done it though and I don't anyone who has.Never really thought about it like that but it makes perfect sense.

Never mind the running, I consider myself to have been a decent drinker in the past, but doing 100 pints in 100 hours would be fucking tough.Everything in moderation. Hope she didn't open the Lucozade straight away.I ran 6 miles to my mums and dropped off a packet of Maltesers and a lucozade.
