sadly you have recognised the economic self harm Brexit will cause ( never mind the effect of the pandemic ) but can't admit it so to rationalise you have to believe that the EU - who we would heavily rely on for trade - will collapse. Thats because mutual assured destruction is better than admitting Brexit is fucked up.

Its quite pathetic really - its like a bloke splitting up from his Mrs and shitting bricks coz her new fella might be more handsome, have better prospects, a better job, a better car and make her happier than you ever did. The split only works if her future is no better than yours - if you are going to be miserable she cannot be happy.
Sorry - you are not able to understand basics and make no effort to even try

My earlier post was not aimed at you and I see no value in exchanging posts with you.

Hopefully there will be some Remainers coming along who have listened to the clips and analysed the content.....

I look forward to discussing the topic with them.

Meanwhile I hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend

Fair enough, I'm not on this thread enough to know, I just commented because as my post says I knew about target 2 which is not widely known about, those 2 videos are worth a watch for a better understanding, stay safe bud.
Actually - the truth is - as you would know if you had been on this thread more.....

That in @west didsblue view - most people....

Equals Remainers that cannot be objective

Strangely, it seems to be exclusively that profile

They have hounded most from this and other threads - I just have more determination and patience than others - and I wait for some of them to come back with debate - rarely happens.

You have noticed that those videos prompt at the very least some thoughtfulness....?

WDB and some other Remainers will have either not seen them or understood the content - they just need to abuse to stop others doing so

It has been happening for years

what you did was a powerpoint lecture to your ex-Mrs showing how you are the best she will ever get ( the sort of thing btw that made her happy you left ) and all the others from their one bedroom flats piled on agreeing with you a bit upset they didn't do the same to their ex.

Off to enjoy the rest of the summer now thanks.

Respect - best post I have seen from you for a good while

Cheerio mate

I am assuming that it is because either:

a) People have listened to the material and have not understood the inevitable implications for the Eurozone and EU or

b) People have listened to the material and are not able/willing to discuss the inevitable implications for the Eurozone and EU because they cannot be easily brushed off or denied or avoided by throwing out insults

Either way - objective people should be starting to grasp that it is indeed far better for the UK to secure a clean break - even if they are not able to bring themselves to admit that fact openly on the thread

It is not about being right or wrong on a football forum - it is about understanding and wanting what is best for the UK in the medium to long term - in fact even the short term now

It seems that is likely for quite a few posters too big an ask?

Obviously I can’t speak for everyone, but I suspect it’s for neither of those reasons.

.

Going back to the months after the referendum there was a narrative attempted on here by the Remainers that Leavers are 'little Englanders' (which itself demonstrates a lack of understanding) and that Leavers were xenophobes who just wished 'ill' on the EU and hoped for it to collapse

A generalisation, an exaggeration or a convenient lie

Turning in now - but can I ask you:

a) for what reasons then and

b) what was your assessment of the obviously terminal risks to the Eurozone and EU inherent in the timebomb that is Target 2?

None of those - the utter truth

If @Ric will give me access to the initial Brexit threads I can drown you with examples

Yes but you miss the point. Some remainers will have made comments about leavers and levelled the charge of being little englanders and racists. But some remainers are not the remainers. Unless you can cede that simple and undeniable fact then you have no credibility as an objective observer

I think, and I don’t mean to be rude, that a lot of people just find the tone of your posts to be continuously obnoxious and condescending. I’m sure you feel the same way about those who disagree with you too. That’s the nature of the political forum, I guess. What rankles most, though, is this suggestion that it is all one way. That Brexiteers and Conservatives discuss things in a civil way, but Remainers and Labour voters are somehow far more vitriolic than anyone else and have lowered the tone. It’s either completely disingenuous or entirely misguided, but either way it does you no favours. There are clearly a handful of posters on both sides, and I very much include you in this, whose posts tend to lower the tone of debate. A bit of retrospection on all sides wouldn’t go amiss.

In fairness @Ric I feel despite what has gone on today he and I have ended the day on good terms.

c) people haven't watched your videos yet because they have other things to do.
