If my local butcher was doing all he can to reopen his business in some way I wouldn't be spending my time on a forum slagging him off saying his meat isn't quite as good. Why is football club not entitled to do all it can to survive and try and bring any kind or normality back for the thousands of ordinary people who are employed by them? If pubs or restaurants were reopening but there was a major change to how they operate would you not still try to support them?

You do know how much money clubs will lose if no football is played right? Just domestic TV money is 80 millions a club, you then have foreign TV rights, sponsorship commitments that can't be honoured, matchday and hospitality revenue lost the list goes on.

Has it not been stated thAt Sky will withhold approximately £370 million, meaning that the clubs will lose around £18.5 million each? If that is the case then it may cost more for clubs to host games with no match day revenue.

Its about time football had a reset , unfortunately the corona virus will do a far better job than FFP , when football does resume i expect far more streamlined clubs working within realistic budgets , transfer fees , players wages and their agents commission are in for an unprecedented reality check.
The next few years are going to be about rebuilding the majority of clubs and getting back on a sound financial footing and getting spectators back in the grounds, and hopefully the butchers , bakers and candlestick makers will still have viable businesses, so they can afford to attend games , because football without supporters is soulless.
