the death toll, hospital and infection rates are dropping significantly

They are. However, that is normal behaviour. For as likely as it was that numbers would drop significantly, it’s equally as likely there will be a 2nd peak. That is how a virus, generally, works.

Now is absolutely not the time to be getting giddy and thinking about a return to life as we knew it 3 months ago. Now is the time for preparation. Preparation for a 2nd peak and getting the nation ready fo winter, where this thing could well have a field day.

The French aren’t exempt from quarantine. Whoever asked that is way behind the news. It was changed last week so only lorry drivers and covid 19 workers (whatever that means) are exempt. Everyone else will be quarantined.

We still don’t have a clear answer to the question, I’m not sure what the way back to normal life will be.

oxford have started to develop a vaccine that looks really promising, that’s what I’ve taken today from the briefing :))

He also said we might never find a vaccine, that is coming from everyone,we are making it now so if it turns out to be safe and effective we have it ready to go,props to Astra for taking the risk on it

From all reports all nations will have a second wave, my gut feeling is we will fare better than most, as said previously lets see in 12 Months and then compare (which in my opinion is pointless anyway).

From what I understood, there will be 30 million doses of this vaccine available in September but they can't be used till the results of the clinical trials with the last one of which being in October. So if all goes well it's likely that the earliest the vaccine will be available to the public is November?

Not a cat in hell’s chance before 2021.
They’ve only just tested that it doesn’t kill monkeys!

We won't have a vaccine till next year,we are taking a chance and making what is being tested now but that doesn't hurry up the trials, they go at their own pace

likely it’s the Jenner institute that’s developed the vaccine; publicly funded by us. AZ have the production network (at least in the UK).
