If I was in the position where I'd have to work, say to pay bills, put food on the table, then I would. Seeing as this is probably the case for most supermarket workers, then I would imagine they would have to go in.
As far as footballers are concerned, Troy Deeney is the shining example of what a modern footballer should be like. In his position, young kid with breathing difficulties at home, then I'd do the same. But then he can afford to tell them to stick it.
Football is only a sport. In the grand scheme of things it matters not a jot if it doesn't start up again until September. Not one jot.
Comparing the two though is a bit harsh. One work to live, the other kick a bag of wind about for thousands a week. All the bravado of the Premier League bosses, Oh...it will help the country, football being played will give everyone a boost...it's pure bullshit. Money. that's all it's about. The clubs are bricking it that they might have to give the TV companies some cash back.
