In the first 5 days after reopening.70 cases out of circa 1.4m is 0.005%. That is far better than the 0.8% amongst the PL. Bad news for the 70 who have the virus but if the world has to stop for 0.005% then we all might as well go to Dignitas

Indeed. On march 4th the UK had about 80 cases. By the 18th over 2,500.In the first 5 days after reopening.
I wouldn’t be so complacent if I were you.
Not been in a supermarket for 9 weeks now, not in any rush to go back to one.
You don¨t have a pint at the match I take it?!?
It might be annoying, but the queuing is to limit numbers in shops, which helps with distancing, if they let everyone in at once then there is no chance of any at all. I've changed supermarkets as a result, to one that is allowing a sensible number in, Tesco's aren't allowing sensible numbers in, they are creating a queue, but the numbers inside are ridiculous, I've tried 2 different ones, but too many inside, and many acting like twats too, so they've lost my custom.
Been lucky on that, managed to get either a Tesco or Iceland delivery each week since this lot started just keep going online.I can't get a delivery slot and need to eat so I have no choice.
The average incubation (median) period is 5.1 days. The title of that article ("France sees 70 cases linked to schools days after reopening") seems misleading at best when you consider the following quote about 20 lines down: "Given that the incubation period for the virus is several days, people are “likely” to have been infected before the reopening of the schools"
I'm not saying reopening the schools is going to prove a good idea, it's just clear that it's too early to tell. You could just have easily taken everyone associated with the schools reopening and stood them 2 miles apart in a dessert, then tested them all and written an article titled "France sees 70 cases linked to extreme distancing measures".

M and s food halls are good and have some really good 3 for10 quid deals. Not queues round here as people rather stick to sainsbury or Morrisons. I find it's no dearer reallyBeen lucky on that, managed to get either a Tesco or Iceland delivery each week since this lot started just keep going online.
Just using my local shops, plus the convenience store, not using the supermarket at all. We go out tomorrow, my wife does a few shops I do a few, shopping for the week done in about 45 minutes.I can't get a delivery slot and need to eat so I have no choice.
I gave up in the end, it's a pain as I don't drive but I have to eat so have to go.
Same with cyclists on the road.
Reported cases was 80 - the actual number was much, much more.Indeed. On march 4th the UK had about 80 cases. By the 18th over 2,500.
Keep the schools open for a month and those numbers will grow rapidly.

Trump's treatment faired best....
Looks like we got away with the VE day silliness then and much of the other breaking of distancing rules since - cases still falling. The average incubation (median) period is 5.1 days.
95% of infections occur between 4.5 and 5.8 days and 97.5% occur before 11.5 days. So the vast majority of new cases from going back would have been picked up.

Missus runs 2 schools, both academies, both early doors...out of 81 teachers they have 16 who can actually come in. But not at the same time. Staggered to minimize the risk. No actual curriculum will be taught. Max 8 to a class. no games. No toys. Not even the child's proper teacher in most cases.
800 kids, around 80 are saying they are coming in.
And the point of all this is?
