The retweets and posting of comments on Follow Follow are hysterical, literally.

You probably read about the guy who climbed into Ibrox with a 9iar flag.

Well, an absolute arse on FF, Papac has called on his fellow "bears" to set up a militia/vigilante group to patrol.the stadium. He's looking for volunteers.

Fucking bellends. :)

There are literally dozens of this level.of insanity. Hilarious. I can just see them with their Orange Order Trumptonesque military uniforms their big sisters sewed them from old curtains, marching up and down, Who Goes there? Bear or Tim? We arra Peepil. No Surrender, Fuck The Pope. And so on and so forth. It's been a highlight of the season.

Sad's Army.
But this is the thing - you mock their fans for their obsession with the orange order but your fans pretend to be Irish and bang on about the IRA. 20 year old Scottish lads who weren't born when Manchester was shook to it's foundations acting as if they were present on Bloody Sunday.

I appreciate that you probably don't harp on about the IRA but constantly taking the piss out of Rangers' sectarianism is a bit pointless when your own club are just as bad.

No, some of them do. All my Rangerspals aren't into all that bollicks. And I am always taking a pop at our plastic Paddy's too. Have done for years. I hate Rangers like you hate Utd, it has fuck all to do with religion I'm an athiest and think everybody who uses religion is a fucking twat. I've had more arguments about this stuff with other Celtic fans than I ever have with gers fans.

I don't like the OO because it's a fascist org, it deliberately marches oast Catholic churches and they stop outside to okay louder. Imagine if that was Nazis stopping outside a Synagogue? It wouldn't be allowed, but up here, that's deemed ok.

Catholics and Irish descent make up 17% of the population but account for nearly 50% of serious assualts. I hate that. That's fucking outrageous. There has been deep rooted discrimination in Scotland for years, where apartied like measures went unchecked. What school did you go to and what your name was prevented getting jobs in many areas. And don't forget Rangers were the same until 30 years ago. It's getting better and more people are leaving this shit behind, but it's still fucked that the OO are allowed to demonstrate their hatred by intimidating people going to church. They aren't marching this summer. One benefit of the lockdown.

Do you think the sectarian stuff between the fans of both clubs has got better or worsened over the last 10 years? I've been up here 7 years now and I'm still baffled that people are falling out over religion, it has to end at some point?

I think it is getting worse.
Amazes me that both sets of fans are as bad as each other but they do not see it that way.

It's not as bad as it was. It's getting better, but there, tragically, will always be those who define themselves to one creed or another. They bring up their kids to hate and the cycle goes on. It makes me sad to he honest. As I've said before, my best pal since I was 10 is a fucking fanatic about the gers. Cut him in two and it's odds in its the fucking rangers crest. He like me, love our teams, hate each others with a fucking passion, but we don't give a fuck about the religious or political shit. We've had some right Barney's over the years but hes my brother. The fucking twat that he is. The stories I could tell about the **** :)

For me the segregation starts at primary school. I went to pre school / nursery with my mate 4 doors away from me. Then I expect to see him when I start primary 1, but he gets whisked away to a RC school in the neighbouring village, and then onto a town further along when it comes to secondary school. I just don't get it in this day & age.

If that was the reason for bigotry then it would be a thing in England. It's not that. Why would people have a problem with anyone going to a different religious school.if they didn't bother? If the religion itself is the issue.

This is often trotted out, but it's a red herring. The problems is bigotry exists and do you honestly think if there were no Cathokuc schools it would end? Everybody who hates catholics would suddenly say, well that's ok now, I quite like ****s? Don't be niaeve.

For the record, I sent my three sons to a non denominational school and want to see a day where no religious schools exist. But, to claim the reason for bigotry is schools, is a bullshit cop out. It's endemic in a large portion of the country who wouldn't, change, not a fucking jot if everybody went to the same school.

Where in my post did it say that was the reason for bigotry? All I said was that the segregation starts in Primary School. It doesn't help whatsoever, because it creates a divide at a young age, its just amplified greatly in Western Scotland & Northern Ireland because of the bigotry coming down from generations.

All I said was I I don't know why in this day & age we have religious schools. I believe the kids from all races should be taught in the same schools. Religion can be followed at the relevant churches.

Sorry gunner, have had a few and and thought that's what you meant. Apologies.

And I agree totally with your school suggestion. I pray for the day. :)

Are these people actually religious or is it just an excuse.
I dont think I know anyone or atleast not many people who are religious.

It's warped into a culture now hasn't it? One side of the extremes hates the English and is Catholic and the other side hates the Catholics because they hate the British. You could take away the religious aspect and you'd be left with the political aspect which is just as incidious and vile.

Most aren't. It's used as a badge by most. More Catholics go to church, but like me, most would rather be anywhere else. None, and I mean not a single one of my proddy mates ever went. The lucky ****s.

Excuse me? What the fuck is vile about people wanting to run their own stuff? And save your English hating shit. Have you ever fucking even been here? If you had you would know that's utter shit. Sick listening to and reading this type of crap. I was brought up Catholic and I don't hate the British, I am fucking British.

I mention extremes, not the normal people wind your neck in bud. Again the extreme Catholics hate the British in the Celtic fraternity, and the extreme Protestants hate the British hating Catholics.

Or are you saying that extreme Celtic fans don't hate the British?

And your vile assessment of people wanting Indy? Some do yes, but some believe aliens visit, ghosts are real. Tories are ****s. There is a massive spread if beliefs and hatreds. Because some do doesn't mean all do. I was more fucked with your vile anti British political pish. I know religion is a problem. Wanting to vote to end being governed by Tory bastards is sensible and humane.

I didn't mention INDY at all, what are you reading? My post was about football extremists not the average match goer. The assessment was aimed at both sides of the divide it's unfortunate that you took umbrage at my post because I didn't mean to offend.

" You would be left with the political... Which is just as vile." What do you mean by that? If it's not some wanting Indy? What's vile about people exercising their right to choose?

I just don't see where vile fits in.

They certainly don't like British soldiers, that's for sure, & they aren't scared to advertise it through banners & songs. Whether you can say they hate the actual British, the more informed would need to tell you. Its perhaps more the ideology, of the British flag, the union, the Queen etc they take umbridge to, or more the fact that Rangers fans use them so they automatically dislike them. And vice versa by the way with regards the Irish flags, the pope etc.

It's very tit for tat. Republicans are in solidarity with Palestine, so by default Loyalists/Rangers show solidarity with Israel. I never even realised they cared until I saw a mural for it on that road that connects Shankhill and Falls Road.

I wonder which side eats Coco Pops and which prefers Rice Krispies.
