Not in a malice sense.

but there’s just so many problems in the world that if you spend enough time watching/reading it becomes very heavy and leads to anxiety and depression.

whilst some people can just switch off from it all and not have a care in the world and just go about there day, no debating, no arguing with anyone.

is it better to just be ignorant and not bother with all the worlds woes.

The 24 news cycle plus social media outrage and tribalism isn't good for mental health. Also produces pressure on journalists to compete to be first to the news - even if that means sacrificing research and accuracy to compete with some arsehole on twitter.

You never said what you think?

I think people who go around not giving a fuck is the reason so many have to. No excuse for choosing ignorance. Realise what's going on and deal with it. Not act like a fucking child in a bubble as the world burns.

Ignorance is just another term for being a lazy ****.

So, what do you think?

Spot on.

"Ignorance is bliss", that's what they say, right?

It's better to be informed and realise that athough you can't change everything, you can raise awareness.

Still a bit old school. Don't really use FB or Twitter so miss all the crap that social media generates. Watch the news on the TV if I'm about. That's it. Mostly I don't bother with any of it. Never going to get a completely unbiased view anyway are you? Everyone has an agenda.
