Keir Starmer

Back to Starmer, I didn't know he had a radio show with Nick Ferrari. Having just seen the latter use the "if you don't like it here then leave" trope to a black presenter, I sincerely hope KS calls him out on this.
He won't.

He's happy to do a photo op of kneeling unlike the previous leader who'd probably have been arrested at the protests.

Out protesting against racism against black people but sat on his arse when Jews were being attacked from within his own party.

On his knee to campaign against racism against black people but sat on his arse when Jews were being attacked from within his own party.
Not sure that's fair, but I've certainly questioned what he's done about the apparently virulent issue since he got in? Jezza suspended more people.

This is a terrible excuse.

Cummings should have been sacked but those that were outraged, quite rightly, at his behaviour then go and do worse, they’ve lost all moral high ground.

It wasn't an excuse, its a fact

Most of the fuckers have fled now or sulked off.

The left should be delighted, whilst having a huge battle on his hands, he’s at least electable.

Why on earth would the left be delighted to have a centrist in charge of the party?

And as for him being electable, i cant see it at all and he is up against a government of clowns. He would only be elected if Tories voted for him and he had Tory policies and he joined the Tory party.

The left of the Labour party in general want fuck all to do with him, he was one of the backstabbers, he is a Blairite and along with Watson and a few others as culpable for giving us Johnson as anybody.

He has done nothing about those at Labour HQ who hindered the fight against AS and undermined the party, he has appointed a Blairite as Gen Sec who is now purging the left from the party and his sucking up to Johnson has made me sick,.

If Cummings was found grooming a child would you say it’s alright for others to do?

Because Johnson said watermelon smiles would you defend me saying it to my Nigerian colleague at work?

What’s happened to individual responsibility?

Have you read the leaked party report.

Yes, it confirms there was widespread antisemitism but the Blairites used it to make the situation worse and attack Corbyn.

It implicates all sides of the party and confirms the party is a moral vacuum.

Cesspit is the term I’d use.

He’s electable because the majority of the left in the country will continue voting Labour, he’ll then win votes from the centre and disgruntled centre right Tories.

I still don’t think he’ll win but the public weren’t having Corbyn at all and have gone for similar figures to Starmer before.

Would you rather Starmer in 2024 or 5 more years of Boris?

Very hard to discern anyone in the current party leadership that can truly claim to be part of the solution rather than the problem.

You must realise that your views are way of from the average voter. Corbyn never had a chance due to his own record, many average people in the street considered him totally unfit to be PM from a variety of reasons, everything from refusing to commit to using military force to his support of terrorist groups.

It is no surprise he failed to win over the party and that is his own fault, he just wanted to get rid of the 80% of MPs that disagreed with him not build a consensus. He should never have been nominated in the first place. His legacy is the most disastrous GE defeat for Labour of all time (his second attempt both against woeful tories), almost tearing the party in two, two votes of no confidence and a racism investigation by the EHRC.

I and the majority of Labour members are much happier with Starmer. A massive improvement over the Corbyn disaster years.

Cummings didn't set the rules about child grooming.

Individual responsibility is nothing without collective responsibility

The cesspit dwellers are those who used racism against there own party and enabled a Tory government.

What about the Johnson point?

My argument is that condemning someone politically you don’t like for breaking the rules doesn’t mean you can then do worse yourself.

A mate of mine was apoplectic about Cummings in social media, then went on the march twice, he’s a hypocrite who should know better.

Neither, i would prefer a Socialist as many thousands of ex-labour members do.

There is no point at all in having a Labour party that is the same as the Tory party, tweedle dee and tweedle dum of political discourse, both pro-free market, the only difference being the probable stance on the EU.
