And with reference to the NI protocols, NI businesses are losing it with Gove and the Govt as they will be obliged to implement full border controls from 1st Jan (note the UK decision to defer control on our borders for six months does not apply to NI) and they have no idea what this entails so cannot prepare for it. For the avoidance of doubt the reason why the Govt doesn’t give details to businesses in NI is that they don’t have any details. In short, they haven’t a clue and are still in denial over what they signed up to in a legally binding international treaty.

What a shit show. They have not done the work here as they refuse to accept they have cocked this up and they are obliged to do it. Once they make a start the horror show of what they have done and what it means comes out of the wash and the whole scam starts to fall down. Its pure denial.

It's notable that Labour are silent on all of this and I sense a very clever strategy here. Johnson is only ever effective when he is talking about brexit and 'getting it done' and 'sovereignty' and 'sticking it to the EU'. Its notable that Labour are completely silent on it which gives him zero oxygen on the subject. Its the reason he won the election and its just slowly going to shit behind the scenes.

Not sure why you 'love' it. Just proves what a sinister trap EU membership is if it's so difficult to escape without damage.
You would think perhaps that UK citizens should be hoping for the best for the UK going forwards - rather than acting like sniggering children as they indulge themselves in desperate attempts to seem clever as they take part in team wanks over whatever they can dream up as being bad news for the UK

It is strange. Still, it's essentially harmless I suppose.

A level of accuracy? You mean it's true.

"PFI was initiated by John Majors Conservative Government"

True or false?

(I can only surmise that your vehemence about this topic means you missed out on a PFI contract for supplying bullshit.)
Oh - you got that last part soooo badly wrong

Brown''s obsession with PFI led to me being requested to work with the Treasury Taskforce in developing the' best practice' guidance for PFI - that created a step change in my life and has set my family up for generations

But thank you for your concern

Labour have never had a coherent policy on Brexit, thus a landslide for the Tories. Normal folk and ex Labour voters just want out of the EU, why can't you people see that and take it for what it is ?

A form of Stockholm Syndrome??

Starmer is a seriously impressive individual imo, imagine where we’d have been as a country without Corbyn for 5 years.

Whatever the blame the Tories get, Labour deserve the same for being absolutely fucking useless at holding them to account.

Just a shame he has fuck all personality whatsoever
What a boring twat he is
But I suppose labour will settle for anyone who is better than corbyn
I have no doubt starmer is switched on but fuck me leaders in politics are thin on the ground at the moment

Running our politics like reality TV hasn’t worked.

Give me a boring **** who’s a serious person over a clown any day.

Starmer’s problem is the party he’s actually leading and those in it.

In some respects I think labour got it right early on after the referendum by staying quite quiet and letting the Tories own their own mess. Truth be told brexit is as decisive an issue for labour as the tories so to some extent Corbyns tactic of fence sitting and not picking a side was again shrewd. Unfortunately as the debate in and out of parliament became more polarised the fence sitting became an impossible balancing act. Ultimately (with the benefit of hindsight) I think labour would have done a lot better at the last GE by going firm on either leave or remain. The attempt to play both ends of the argument ended up appealing to neither camp, rather than appealing to both which I suspect was the intention. Starmer could do worse than just keep the whole thing at arms length and let BJ fully own the covid/brexit aftermath - he'll probably end up in no 10 after the next GE by just not being Boris/Tory.

Be nice to have someone who has personality and is good and switched on
That’s how you lead and inspire people
Not much choice is there really

Probably right
Every 10 years or so you see a change unless the opposition are really poor
After this term I think we’ll see a change
But saying that labour need to make themselves more appealing

US Trade Rep in Congress yesterday giving evidence, some highlights

Doesn’t think a deal is doable this year or can be done without a lot of face to face meetings.
UK has to accept US food standards with no barriers for US farmers to UK market. If UK insist they the deal will be put on ice until they do accept.
Any land border in Ireland will mean no US/UK deal. Congress Rep wants this a pre condition.
US sceptical about UK doing a deal with US before a deal is done with EU. This is based on the rationale that to do it with the US first would be dumb and no country is that dumb. US has fingers crossed we are that dumb.

Narrator: "And they were that dumb."

Odd that the only way forward that the Brexit fanboys are suggesting is to hope for the best. Unfortunately that won’t cut it when we’ve already signed away NI to the Single Market and are refusing to prepare for what must be in place by 1 Jan whether we have a deal or not. At some point there will have to be a realisation that something needs to be done but it’s probably already too late now never mind in a few months when even the most stupid realise that we’re in the shit.

BJ will ultimately get away with taking the blame in the short-medium term by pinning all the post brexit economic woe on Covid. Remainers will be so desperate to seize on everything bad as 'because of brexit' that we'll end up caught between two sets of lies again, just like the 'sunny uplands' vs 'brexit apocalypse' lies of 2016. Once again the casualty of this will be the truth with neither side really 'winning'. BJ will end up as the tory sacrificial lamb once the worst is over and will then get blamed for everything by the new leader to try and keep Starmer at bay.

Whatever EU fanboy, it works both ways, surprised you forgot to label us as Racist, Right wing and thick like your lot normally do. Just to let you know I have never voted Tory in my life and having the burden of being thick I seem to be doing very well in the grand scheme of things, very well indeed.

Imagine going on about this every single day as though it’s the most important thing in your life while everyone else with a life just cracks on.
Imagine also being so desperate for your country to fail just to prove you right.
It’s so bad that no one can even really be that bothered to reply to you as we’re leaving and that’s that

You seem to responding to something different to what I posted.

Same as usual for you.
