I have been saying since the start of last season that whatever the problem between him and pep it needed sorting as he is a special player,we have nobody that can do what he can do,the speed the goals/assists
kev used to lose the ball a lot, that comes with the type of player he is,sane was not allowed to do that,he had to do better at tracking back but that is not to say he never did it
The club have done everything,i don't believe that pep handled him right though,he was the young player of the year then he wasn't played, there is tough love then there is cutting off your nose to spite yourself
It isn't popular to say pep makes mistakes but this was a problem between them so I am not comfortable with the aggression towards the kidf
I maintain this will be a huge mistake, watch him soar at Bayern and I will hate it
Playing him was fine,he is our player, shame he got injured,u believe there was still hope he would sign then
As opposed to lose the money to buy a replacement, pay his wages for no return, derail the following season by never playing him and therefore keeping an unhappy player around the dressing room. Yes that will do wonders for morale. Absolutely ridiculous.
FWIW I think we should sell him but only for the right price. Point is that we don’t need to sell him and can’t let Bayern lowball us.FFP?
To other clubs that we won’t sell unless we are offered the right priceWhat to all teammates/friends in the dressing room how spiteful we can be? Brilliant idea.
You really bit hard hahahahaAs opposed to lose the money to buy a replacement, pay his wages for no return, derail the following season by never playing him and therefore keeping an unhappy player around the dressing room. Yes that will do wonders for morale. Absolutely ridiculous.
I'm annoyed with City not reporting Bayern Munich for tapping up Leroy Sane. Nothing to do with the contract negotions we done all we could to keep him, Bayern turned Sane head a long time ago with nothing done about it. City should not of let it happen.
What morale? Did players care when Ronaldo was kept against his wish to leave for Real Madrid. Seems like Gerrard worked out alright with a champions league. Let’s not hurt the feelings of a player who is desperate to go to the Bavarian rags. We might as well ask Kev if he wants to be off to Madrid or Barcelona to keep him happy.
It’s a hypothetical example used to demonstrate a point but I suppose they didn’t teach that at the business school you went toWhat has KDB going to Madrid got to do with anything? Is this a real situation are one you have just made up?
But yes if he had a year left on his contract, can negotiate a deal with them in Jan (potentially 3 mths into the season) and wanted to leave selling him would probably be the best option.

Maybe he’ll think twice before trying to be condescending next time :)Murder

If your opinion about Sane was to gain a response, rather than be your actual view it says more about you than me.
Nice try but the damage has been done mate
Someone reminded me earlier about pep saying to the whole dressing room on one of the doco's,you know how hard I am on sane or similar words,if they all know then pep clearly hadn't been hiding being hard on him, that might work on some but it is a massive disrespect to other people, maybe sane thought fuck you,it is up to pep to get the best out of themWould you say Leroy works as hard as Kev though? I don’t.
Our best player also leads the stakes in heart and desire to recover the ball.
we won’t know of the inside story of what’s gone on between Pep and Leroy unless someone spills the beans.
Leroy could have said to himself “fuck you Pep, I’ll show you” but I don’t think he showed that desire.
I think the vast majority of fans are gutted it’s ending this way, he’s a fantastic player but I think it’s harsh to blame Pep without more information.
Bayern will have an even better team with him, they will win the Bundesliga for the foreseeable, he will be judged on how they do in Europe.
Sane > Sterling
