I don't know it depends how badly a club want a player. Sure they can wait another year and pay nothing but can they afford to do that? Their domestic league is as good as sewn up every year but for the champions league they will need him. What we don't want is a long drawn out saga. Of course if we lose our CAS appeal it will probably weaken our hand more.

Exactly, we'll come to an agreement that both clubs find acceptable. We won't get exactly what we want and Bayern will pay more than what they want but there's generally a middle ground found in situations that are mutually beneficial for both clubs.

Pep is mega intense, I don’t think he would have been on Leroy’s case all the time, the documentary also showed his great manner with the squad as well.

I don’t think we are a million miles apart in our views, Leroy has had his head turned and don’t think even us matching BM’s salary offer would change things.

I never said that. I recognise he is a an excellent player, and will be a loss. HE has made a decision to leave. Let’s take the money and move on. His playing time tells you everything about Pep’s trust. I wish him all the best, but would have been more worried if we were losing Raz.

Think it’s pretty certain Leroy was tapped up over 2 years ago, the club/management probably got wind of this and entered into initial talks, he then missed out on a World Cup place and we’ve been stuck with a brooding player & fleeting performances ever since, the club would’ve supported him through that summer, paid him handsomely and the same through his rehab. Compare that to the conduct of the Jerry Rags, who probably had a hand in his non selection in 2018, dragged the shit out of transfer negotiations last summer, culminating in us playing him in the CS to draw them out, now we’re getting derisory offers less than his purchase price 4 years ago....something tells me this won’t end well for Leroy & he will look back on his career with more than a tinge of regret

Has always struck me as one of those players that may mature mentally and suddenly elevate rapidly over the course of a season and go on to be the next global superstar.

The thing is City as a club will fight back and wont need to lift the fans. The fans know the Club are being stitched up and if we come unstuck at CAS i predict at the first game fans are allowed back there will be a standing ovation for everyone who has fought this case. From the owner to the prolific posters on bluemoon who have given so much encouragement, they will deserve a round of applause. So come on Ancoats show the spirit of Ancoats and cheer up.
