Bye bye Leroy, some class performances and frustrating in equal measure ....we move on
Why buying him when we've just sold him. Once a player wants to leave without using it as a bargaining chip, he needs to be sold immediately for the best possible price. Have you ever heard Kun or Merlin moaning when not starting two games in a row. And the first rumours of Leroy wanting to leave came up at the beginning of the last year. In a few years time he ll be barely remembered he played for us.Hit and miss if I’m honest, pep didn’t fancy him before injury, my only regret is that charity shield game, if we bought sancho for 75 mill I’d consider all of it good business
Helped with the fee I meantAssuming it has no effect on his ability to a high standard.
If Gareth Barry can play 700 times in the Premier League, then Rodri is plenty quick enough.
None of that is relevant to my message, in fact it makes no sense at allWhy buying him when we've just sold him. Fernandinho has never been particularly fast either. He's less cumbersome for sure but he's never zipped around. And he's done great!Took the words out of my mouth. Not sure why everyone suddenly thinks we need a really pacy holding midfielder.
There is absolutely nothing 'clever' about this deal. It obviously had to be done but we've been done and we're to blame.
He’s learning from one of the best & will mature into the role over the next couple of seasons, not bad in the air too, and does offer a degree of flexibility if he can slot into the back 4 when required, I’d say it’s more important what he has up top & its well known he’s a very studious & intelligent personTook the words out of my mouth. Not in this current market its not. Both the rags and Scousers have already said they wont be paying megabucks for players and for once I believe them.Managers are only too aware of their individual clubs current financial problems.I think based on us paying £60m a piece for Rodri and mahrez then £100m for sane is a fair price.

Barry was 28 years old with years of PL experience. A player of Barry's quality at that time was going to be smarter than most 23/24 year olds would have been at the time.We play very differently to the team that Barry excelled in.
And Barry was probably a bit smarter than Rodri has shown so far positionally and breaking play up.
Sorry dont agree considering all the facts due to form/injury/covid/contract reported fee is a good deal not sure why people are so angry about it.
Intereting that it adds that Sane once signed next week, WONT return to the squad till the end of the season....getting him out of the building quicky? - wonder if he is was having a bad affect on the squad over the last few weeks witht he continuing ongoing speculation or is this something contractual?
Because we’ve had one for 7 years and it’s proving very difficult to replace him with a like for like player. That fella has got the lot but the new fella hasn’t. De Jong, Barry and Garcia wouldn’t have got in this team to be fair.Took the words out of my mouth. Not sure why everyone suddenly thinks we need a really pacy holding midfielder.
Joe Hart says hi.Because we’ve had one for 7 years and it’s proving very difficult to replace him with a like for like player. That fella has got the lot but the new fella hasn’t. De Jong, Barry and Garcia wouldn’t have got in this team to be fair.

If it fucks up his career the so be it
We dont need a winger, Havertz can play CF & use instead of Aguero.I think Foden is a better player than Havertz. And Havertz definitely isn't a winger.
