Two Totally different goals albeit very similar passes assisting both, Sane goes on the outside & scores, Raz cuts across 2-3 men and curls it into the corner, highlighting the benefit of both styles, but Pep now prefers His wingers on opposite sides and wants players that actually want to be here! The current method probably decreases the assist count but increases the amount of goals by our wide players (not sure on stats just a feeling) which is less of a risk when your main striker is having a dry patch or is injured. FWIW I think Leroy is a class player but harping on about goals he scored 18 months ago & performances stretching even further back doesn’t do it for me....it’s time to start backing Pep and the players that want to be here
Well Leroy didn't go on the outside and score against the dippers when he stuck that one in the "top bins" in that 5-0 win at the Etihad.

If he was doing it week in, week out I would agree with you. When was the last time Sterling did that prior to the Newcastle game?

Remember the all important winner that Sane got against Liverpool last year? Sterling doesn’t score that, instead he tries to finish with his left foot, kicks his right foot, falls over and it’s a goal kick to Liverpool and we lose the title. :-)
He’s got 50 odd prem goals with his right foot & 20 odd with his left....not a bad ratio for someone who falls over his own feet

Just watched it about 30 times and I don't see what you're seeing mate.
On the angle from around the 20 second mark do you not notice the ball bounce immediately after the shot? How do you think it does that? It's because it's knocked downwards by hitting the underside of Alexander-Arnold's boot, which is pretty visible if you watch it.

It's not what fans think a players worth is, its the club and clearly, whilst arguments can be made in any direction, the club did not value Sane as being comparable. That can be for non footballing talent reasons.
Yup. A player, like any commodity, is worth what the buying club is prepared to offer and the selling club is willing to accept. How I, you, Bluemoon or Transfermarkt value him means diddly squat.

If the reported wages are true, Sane and his advisers have come up trumps. Bayern have paid a relative bargain of a transfer fee but Sane gets the lion’s share in his pay packet.

Hey ho. We can live with it. Onward and upward.

His goals and assists last season were more than you remember ,his goals v dippers and rags got us over the line

berbatov had sulky laid back demenor, some people just do
True, I will remember him for lowering my blood pressure by sealing the OT Derby and the Liverpool game brilliant finish last season. Plus one of the best free kicks I've seen away at Schalke which even their best player (the Ref) couldn't stop.

He scored another quality one against Hoffenheim. Must be a German team thing. Makes sense why Bayern wanted him.

Are you a former school careers officer?
No.
Headteacher who believed it important kids learnt that every right they enjoy as a worker was fought for over centuries and needed to be preserved against the ****s that tend to run businesses who would work them to death on a race to the bottom given half a chance.

Apologies, my comments weren’t meant to come across as snide. I am merely stating that Ings has more goals this season and therefore stats alone can be misleading.

I have already stated that I have always felt that Sane was treated differently by Pep than other players including Sterling. Maybe it was tough love, maybe it was something else but it was clear something wasn’t quite right between them. People can disagree with me, I’m fine with that, I just think Sane has more to his game than Sterling.

Fair enough I over reacted there then, sorry. No doubt it's fine margins btw, I am gutted to lose him.

Top talent but his bottom level can be shocking at times. Pep didn't trust him in the run in last season and we won the treble. That was the best 2nd half of any season in the big leagues ever: 18 wins from 19 games. We can do fine without Sane. Watch us win another treble in August :)

It’s team game Stones clearance of the line that made Sane the hero after scoring a cracker!

Whether there was a deflection or not the ball stayed in a straight line and there was no chance Allisson was stopping that shot.
I know I never said it wasn't going in. I even acknowledged that a couple of pages ago. I'm only pointing out I strongly believe it was deflected.

Good point. Were not so far behind the dippers because we missed Leroy. It was Laportes injury and missing Kompany

The point is he’s taken a step back career wise.
He is going to a club where he is clearly going to be the main man from a club where he was and would deservedly remain a squad player.

The main man? That would be great in an attack that today is driven by 34 goal/4assist man - Lewandowski and 8 goals/21 assist man - Müller. In difference to 2013 when the wingers were the main show today that central duo is the main attraction (it already was in Pep's last season at Bayern).

But best winger would be fine and should not be a big obstacle if he is not as injury prone and consistent in his form.

He is going to a club were he is much more in the focus than he ever has been before - on and off the pitch. He is not the most outgoing person that can play with the media so that will not be that easy for him.

He landed on Oberpfaffenhoffen about an hour ago (Sky and BILD) filmed it - and arrived at FC Bayern training ground 10 minutes ago where he will have the first part of his medical tonight.

No messing around then.
