Bernardo Silva - 2019/20 Performances

He honestly can't complain being benched most of the season when he plays the way he has been. Looks nothing like the player he was last season.
 
Should concentrate on trying to play football instead of being a spoilt brat in the guard on honour. Guys stunk out the whole season with 2/10 in every game
 
Not enough pace to play on the wing, he looks slow and laborious, his form has dropped rapidly and he is currently no more than a squad player.
 
Not the same player. He really needs to buck his ideas up. He doesn’t look particularly happy anymore and his game reflects that. He has been one of the biggest disappointments this season for me. I thought we had a superstar on our hands last season.
 
As I said in the post match thread, he's now had 1 good season in 3 ( though last season he was great).

If a player no claps in a guard if honour, the next game you have to play well. Was anonymous all game.
 
It will be interesting to see how he is used/ plays when he next turns out for Portugal. At the moment both he and Jesus don’t give the impression they are enjoying playing.

He looks unhappy all the time currently. I’m not sure what has happened to him. Just nowhere near the same player and actually on this seasons form, not good enough to start for us currently,
 
Be really curious to know what's happened with Bernardo. Seemed a legitimate, if odd, excuse early on with the whole Mendy stuff, but that was an awful long time ago now. Best part of a year ago, and the world has been through an awful lot since then and moved on from the incident. We're in a pandemic and we've been through a lockdown, which he spent travelling in sunny climates with his best friends - there is no way that is still playing on his mind anymore.

His form has absolutely tanked. He was sensational last season and he's gone from looking world class to someone I actually shrug at if he starts. Hugely disappointing.
 
If his form this season is purely down to what happened with THAT tweet, then he isn't for us. That's what happens when you play for City, you get treated like shit by the media. He's got to be mentally stronger or he will be of no use to us in the future.

How do you think Kevin's season would go if he was primarily rotated on the right wing with Mahrez?

with Bernardo playing Kevin's role in midfield instead?

now imagine Kevin enduring that for the best part of 1 year and a half.
 
Something is going on with him,the racist stuff,does he still get grief on Twitter for it,now it is BLM,does he feel guilty or something,u am just reaching as he seems off,maybe not play with dave?? He has no room and is better in the middle??

He has plenty of credit in the bank

Bernardo was consistently switching between midfield and right wing last season and he was putting in top class performances in both positions. Why is it affecting him now?

Don't be daft,being called a racist ,being found guilty and got a punishment,in the eyes of everyone ,that could destroy people's confidence

Bernardo went on his best run when he was playing RW last season after Kev came back. From the 20th January to the end of the season he only played in central midfield twice*.

When I think of Bernardo's best performances the first one that always comes to mind was that CL 4-3 game against Spurs. He was absolutely sensational that day alongside KDB....playing right wing. Terrorised Spurs all game.

It's also the position where he played his entire career, and tore us apart for Monaco.

But now apparently he can't play there, so it's Pep's fault or something. It's ridiculous.
