I don't like it because it's bent, there is absolutely nothing to like. A competition run to help their footballing royalty clean up, we shouldn't like anything the cabal regurgitate as yardsticks for greatness.

We boo them for a reason.
Yes we boo them, but we turn up to the games to boo them.

A friend who is working at the Etihad today. He does a lot of work for City and is at the ground working at least 3 times a week. He isn’t a City fan and I would estimate the info he gives me is 50/50, but was wondering if anyone with a bit more of an inside connection had heard anything similar. I don’t even know if it related to the case could be a transfer or new deal?
Tolm mentioned a few days ago there were possibly some contract extensions in the works?

Would be a big statement if we announced any today

(I know I’m getting ahead of myself)

He'll look like an idiot because he says he has seen the evidence and believes we'll win ?

Wow, so only idiots get a verdict wrong after considering evidence .... I'm going to bet you have ZERO experience of the workings of any judicial system.
Less than zero. I’m saying he leaves himself open to criticism for saying we’re very confident and believes we’ll be in the completion next season so
Close to a decision if he wasn’t close to certain that would occur. I was trying to be positive about it really and taking what he said as a bonus and more favouring us, that’s all.

We would do well to leave that horse alone. He gets very cross if you nag him.
Is this the same white horse that went into a bar and before he could order the barmaid said “we’ve got a whisky named after you.”
To which the horse replied “What, Bernard?”

I am sure I left my coat round here somewhere.

Hmm, I'm no expert on the subject but that doesn't sound good. So the leaked email's and stuff from der speigel can be cast aside but it's the documents that we as a club have actually provided to UEFA where they've found the evidence to charge us?
Written by Tony Evans who is a complete bellend. His article is also factually incorrect.

Simple solution - thanks for sweet fuck all .

And brilliantly debated too.

There is no debate to be had.

You've formed the view the CL is bent and therefore you dont like it.

I agree it's bent but it doesn't stop me enjoying when I get to go to a European superpower or to some obscure minnow.

It doesn't stop me enjoying it when we go to Real Madrid and school them with a classic CL away performance.

It doesn't stop me enjoying when the anthem plays and I know my club is there in the thick of it.

Life is bent. It doesn't stop me enjoying it though.

This is true but some blues don't, and they are right not to IMO, we don't all subscribe to the belief that winning the chumps league is a yardstick of "Doing well".

I'm of the belief that winning it will be the ultimate insult from the club. They do their best to keep us down but we go and win their precious tournament anyway and that's a massive up yours to UEFA. That's why I want to win it. Win it once, make the point, then to be honest they can fuck off and keep their competition, we can always dine on that single success. We should have cut a deal with UEFA whereby they let us win it this year and then we take a lifetime ban!

But we know the CL is the ultimate in commercial opportunities for the club and what makes the big bucks. Being involved in it secures us so much revenue it helps us improve our squad and compete domestically, so we just have to accept the CL is the pinnacle from a business perspective.

If we get to the final we should all boycott it this season.

True, however, nothing new.

Another enjoyable aspect of being in the CL is that it deprives one of the past beneficiaries of the income they had come to expect as their right. Indeed, one or two of them have based their entire business model on that expectation.
