Think the pitch will be good to bat on tomorrow we need to get majority of our runs tomorrow hopefully if we have a full day of batting at close we are at least have a lead of 140/5 at worse and then get quick runs next day have West Indies chasing 230+.

Yep if the likes of Stokes Butler and Pope step up we know what Stokes and Butler can do be tough though.

I think the top order need to step up see off the new ball and between the 4 of them get us anywhere between level and 50 ahead. Full confidence in the 3 you mention setting a target from such a foundation not so much in getting there.Yep if the likes of Stokes Butler and Pope step up we know what Stokes and Butler can do be tough though.

Picked a team to bowl them out on Day 5. Big shout that it'll get that far. Need to bat for a day and half at least, would give us around a lead of 250+.

Losing pretty much all of Wednesday has thrown me! But the point remains that we picked a team to bowl last, when they believed that there would be variable bounce.There's only 2 days left...
I would expect OT to be a quicker pitch and may have suited Archer and Wood more. However Broad was a baffling omission. A great summer 12 months ago and an excellent winter in South Africa.
Personally I'd have left Archer out.
If we can bat all day today and up to lunch tomorrow then we should escape with a draw.

It all depends what happens to the pitch, and how fast it deteriorates, but I said earlier that England would get 300-350 ish (at least, I think I did), and they will. At least one of the sloggit types in the middle order will get a big score.
If the pitch dies further, I expect it to be something like 350-6 at the end of the day.

If. If England bat through to close of play and some of tomorrow morning, and build up a lead of say 200, I don't think a win is beyond the bounds of possibility. Not at all.

Edit: actually, 200 is now looking distinctly pessimistic, unless Stokes throws his wicket away (which he's been known to do). 250 would be more like it. And at 250, England would be safe for a draw, and on for a win, I believe.

Don’t think anyone would begrudge us losing if we show some balls and go for it.
Well said yesterday if at close we have at least 140+ lead with 5 down it been a good day well it’s looking like a good day at the moment.
