Harry Kane

I reckon Kane would score 30+ a season in a City shirt. Many times i see crosses flying in from Mendy on the left & Debruyne from the edge of the box & nobody rarely gets on the end of them.

I am kfa but, imo, Kane was dreadful and quite selfish against Croatia. I like to think had Vardy been put on for him, as I was yelling at my television as if anyone could hear me, they could have won that match.

Vardy would also either have squared it to Raheem or finished that chance at 1-0 far better than Kane's attempt. That goal would've taken England through imo. Might not have won but runners up is still 2 places better than where we did finish

100% agree with you! Raheem would have scored had he had the chance. I lost my shit over it..

And all Vardy does is score goals..i know HK does too but he didn't that day. He was selfish and wasteful.

In fairness, Maguire is not that slow. And Kane has never been fast. I'm not surprised he has no fear of his Speed.

It was a perfect City esque goal waiting to happen for Raheem, might have got the press off his back earlier too. Also Agree on HK being selfish - John Stones of all people could've got the hat trick v Panama. if Kane gave him the penalty after them two headers...

He's been half the striker he was since his 5th ankle ligament injury in 4 years, the one that required surgery to fix in 2019.

And if the first few games back are an indicator, the Hamstring surgery he's just come back from has taken away some pace (and he didn't have loads before).

To pay that much money for a guy who appears to have prawn crackers for ligaments would be criminal financial mismanagement.

Oh and he's 27 in 3 weeks, so he doesn't even have age going in his favour.

i see his record, he tends to score for fun, but i just , i dont know rate him, dont know what it is, ive never thought he was that good, when we go up against a top forward from another team im very wary, but with kane i have no fear.maybe its his lack of pace ,or his lack of control, i think he would stick out in our team as very average, he might get buckets of goals but i couldn't ever see pep signing or wanting to sign kane.

I’m unsure about him tbh. Think there is a lot better out there for a fraction of the price
 
Never work having watched most of the games since the return with Kane it’s all about him free kicks,penalties, shooting when a teammate is in a better position and don’t forget the goal he claimed he touched all he wants are golden boots and goal scoring records
 
We are in a poor era for strikers at the minute. The great out & out strikers around are probably lewa, vardy and kun who are coming to an end. Followed by kane who I believe is going to be a perma crock. Following them you have lukaku, jimenez, etc.
Moving forward there aren't many targets who are exciting at all. The only 2 I would like who would bag 20/30 goals a year are haaland and (puts tin hat on) greenwood. I believe if managed correctly and attitude is good he is a great natural finisher. Not sure his contract situation but I genuinely think he will be a great striker.
 
Not that many truly top strikers knocking about at the moment imo.

With that in mind I'd go for Aubameyang as a stop gap.

Proven scorer in both the prem and Bundesliga. 25+ a season in our team.

Can also play off either wing if necessary.

Wouldn't cost the earth and would wave goodbye to finishing 8th at Arsenal at the drop of a hat.

I don't think it's a poor era, more like a generation change. There's a certain dip in quality ATM, but worldclass talents now emerge every season, in all positions. I'm sure you'll add 1-2 names to your list during the course of next season.

Besides, 'out and out' strikers are a dying breed, you need much more than just scoring talent to be amongst best CFs.
 
There are some players who you just associate with certain teams and cant see playing for anyone else, thats Kane and Spuds for me . i dont particularly rate Kane that highly to be honest, but i just dont see him playing anywhere else and definitely not abroad, he strikes me as the type that would go on a night out eating tapas with his team mates and wondering when the beans on toast was being served . As someone said earlier theres already a Harry Kane team, and we dont need that moniker .
