I mean UEFA really are a shit-show aren't they:
"UEFA notes that the CAS panel found that there was insufficient conclusive evidence to uphold all of the CFCB’s conclusions in this specific case and that many of the alleged breaches were time-barred due to the 5 year time period foreseen in the UEFA regulations."
So they didn't have enough evidence, but their legal team pressed on with it just to shit on our name. BY THEIR OWN FUCKING REGULATIONS the breaches were time-barred as well as the agreement they had made with City in that period when i fine was paid.
Pay the £10m, then sue the ****s for defamation or get Khaldoon on their board to strong arm the dickheads.
Which bit? That's a pretty racist caricature. I suspect Paddy Power may regret putting that one out.
Slipped away againI feel for Steven Gerrard.
I wouldn’t be surprised if UEFA were paying the find themselves or waiving it as it’s the only way they come out of this with any degree of humilityDon't understand the fine but fuck it. Happy days.
Edit- I didn't understand the fine at the time but I do now
Thanks for the 2 dozen responses :-)
He's spilt his tea over himself again. Sorry @oakiecokie :-(At your age?
One of the main perpetrators in all this, the bitter ****David Gill will be in bits
Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live, the Guardian's investigative journalist David Conn has said: "It is a surprise, but knowing some things that we know, we can understand how this has come about. It's more complicated than it looks.
"It is a major victory for Manchester City and it is a big blow for Uefa, and their structures. Uefa's panels are run by distinguished lawyers at the same level as the lawyers that staff the Court of Arbitration for Sport, and it [the verdict] is not really saying that Uefa got it completely wrong.
"But it's finding that City obstructed their investigation and failed to cooperate with it. It's still quite a serious finding against a major football club."
