It's unlikely they'll appeal CAS' decision. With that said, UEFA charged City with shit evidence, urged by the European cartel. So I wouldn't put it past them to be "influenced" into making another head scratching decision.

With that said, I know nothing about sports law lol.

It can be appealed but only under very specific circumstances,none of which seem to fit the case. It would have about a 2% chance of success and this time UEFA would have to pay more to lose again.

UEFA and the PL should be independent bodies not playthings of our rivals. They are entitled to their opinions but we have been legally cleared. It would be nice if they actually presented some evidence rather than they aren't happy with the result.

The other clubs shouldn't be plotting their next move they should be managing their own clubs. Its ridiculous.

I'm pretty sure even UEFA lawyers thought, at one point, that the hearing was pointless. There was no real new evidence against City and the leaked allegations were basically swiftly swept aside because they lacked context.

Looking from the outside, right now, this case was beyond simple. Any average lawyer could've probably anticipated this outcome.

Any morelegal battles and we will continue to batter them in the court rooms.

We have had our victory but imho we cannot rest on our laurels The club has to stop being mild and meek especially to the media who were still hounding us even after the CAS ruling. The strategy of our enemies is to tie us up in long-running legal actions. The clubs don't take any financial risks themselves but get the PL and UEFA to do the dirty work. Our commercial rivals know that our reputation is damaged whether we win or lose.
It increasingly looks like UEFA wasted more than 12 months on a legal battle where all they had in evidence was a few stolen emails. They didn't even have the replies to the emails or the full context. It was just a political decision to pursue City. Even with a United/Liverpool stooge at the helm I can't believe the PL will make the same mistake.

I assume that if UEFA were to appeal the CAS ruling there would be limitations on the time period they have to lodge the appeal- I suppose their intention may become clearer once CAS has published further details of their findings / ruling. If they did decide to appeal I assume the ban would still be set aside

Minuscule chance they appeal. Tiny chance that if they do they win. The appeal would not rehear the factual evidence so it would only be a matter of how that was applied to the law. As the panel appears to have found factually it’s unproven, I can’t see there is anywhere to go on it at appeal. Unless the argument is about the limitation. Then if CAS got that wrong, the question is whether the panel made any finding on the matters that were time barred. All in all, forget it. Not worth worrying about

Effectively a fine for what in the US would be taking the 5th or here the right to remain silent - both quite sensible courses of action in the face of what turned out to be a witch-hunt / malicious complaint and the breaches of confidentiality by uefa during their 'investigation'.

I wouldn't be surprised if Khaldoon does another big media statement as soon as we have seen the details of the Judgment. I think we really need to stay on the front foot with this. Our enemies need to know we will take it all the way. This is a major test for the new PL boss Richard Masters. It has been well publicised that senior officials from LFC and MUFC oversaw his appointment. Will he act in the interests of all PL clubs or just be a puppet for his masters?

The cartel don't lose anything by applying pressure to UEFA and so why not.

i see it as buying ourselves a court hearing.

we could have ended this by cooperating but the innuendo & reputational damage would continue.

we have now been truely vindicated & can go on the attack but cas may look at it as petty that we didn’t resolve early.

The Hateful 8 tried to influence our appeal negatively at CAS.

Is it just me that thinks this is akin to trying to tamper with a Jury in a Court Trial.

Seems pretty fucked up to me.

They were not privy to any of the facts.So had no way of knowing we were innocent.

But still they wanted to influence our appeal negatively.

Also,i thought both parties had to agree beforehand, that the CAS result will be "Final" and legally binding before the arbitration proceedings actually take place.

If we were going to take it further, had we failed at CAS. Then my understanding was we couldn't actually challenge the CAS out come.But we could challenge the legality of FFP in general in the Swiiss Courts.

UEFA would do well to back off.

Rather than set a new precedence that will look every bit like a vindictive, vendetta,orchestrated by G14 against City.
