2nd LB is also the 2nd LCB - Aké/Alaba and Zinchenko will still be around IMO. Not the right time to sell even if his long term future isn't here.
Zinchenko fits into that lb slot then and Carson I'd assume will still be 3rd keeper.

I think it depends on what becomes available in the market. If there’s an option of a very good but expensive player I could see Zinchenko going because he’d represent a big accountancy profit given we paid only £1.7m for him... which has been amortised away... so anything at circa £20-25m would be a large chunk to offset an £80m player over 5 years.2nd LB is also the 2nd LCB - Aké/Alaba and Zinchenko will still be around IMO. I for one really do hope we buy a proper left back this window to fight with Mendy which would make the sale of Zinchenko even more compelling.
You two do know Zin is NOT an LB by trade, right?
He has been a superb team player for us, whilst not ever getting a real chance of playing his preferred role.

I like. Some tidy finishes at the end
This is another reason why the CFG model is fantastic. It could potentially knock us €15m off a deal and allow us to use the funds to secure Koulibaly. Herrera cost us £300k and after a few good loans, hes now valued at €15m. Having all those clubs and the scouting network it provides is invaluable.
He can play anywhere across the front 3. I wouldn't be surprised if he played as 3rd or 4th choice striker ala Sterling. False or regular 9.The more highlights I see the more I wonder if Pep will try him as a false 9.
City bingo?Cheating bastards.
Petro dollars.
Throwing money around.
Arabs.
He was being sarcastic :)I thought Dave Silva was quite good
He is in our squad.
I have no great desire for Zinchenko to go. That said I think he should have a desire, he isn't going to be first choice in midfield, or left back for us. He's at an age now where he could establish himself in midfield at a very good level. imo he should be wanting to do that and we shouldn't stand in his way after serving us well.Yes, he is, but it's the "let's fook him off" attitude that bothers me about some of our fans, sometimes.
Stones can fook off before Zin and he would reach a similar market value.
Trouble is, I like Stones, but he's been a bit unlucky with his injuries and his decision making is similar to Zin's, more so, actually. Stones has a dedicated position he hasn't kicked on in. A bit more aggression and he'd be better as a midfielder(the opposite to Vinny's career).
Zin is NOT a left back, but he tries his best.
There's the difference.

This I agree with.
I do think he's too happy to be a squad player and should be agitating for Gundo's position, at least. He clearly has the 'trust' of Pep to be on the left in a position he's not great in, so what he has to do to get a mid position I don't know!
That’s why I caveated my original post by saying Zinchenko going would probably depend on a player coming available where we want or need a larger profit for the books to offset that transfer. Zinchenko would basically show as a £25m profit but Stones going for the same price wouldn’t because he’d still have a higher book value given we bought him for £50m, so he’ll have say £10m left to amortise.Yes, he is, but it's the "let's fook him off" attitude that bothers me about some of our fans, sometimes.

Probably been converted from euros. We wont pay more than £31.8m for him, seems a strange figure to come out with.
