A play on the fact journalists have one about City but there’s a group on here that spend all their time inboxing each other to attack certain posters and coordinate it.

I can only speak for myself here but I've asked for concrete evidence of interference that led to voter fraud and have said in that instance i would want brexit put on hold immediately and a new vote called. I have also said that interference is interference and its no good moaning about just Russia when every country in the world had an opinion on brexit when asked and certain leaders of certain countries were actively asked to get involved and ask the British public to vote to remain.

That apparently isn't an issue though and its at that point i just switch off as its clear, the argument and faux outrage is disingenuous and it's just sour grapes yet again.

get rid of all influence and ban all political social media campaigning for me tomorrow, no issue at all.

I would do exactly the same as your last point too.

There is no moral high ground here. The only thing I want to see and will always advocate is whatever allows for the best possibility for there to be a well educated electorate that can be clear on when they are being told fact and when they are being told opinion.

The methods chosen for the assassination of Alexander Litvinenko and the attempted assassination of Sergei Skripal were chosen for a reason. A nuclear weapon and a bio weapon deployed on UK soil is a massive threat. The seemingly casual tossing away of the canister of Novichok which led to the death of Dawn Sturgess was also a deliberate act to send a message.

Russia is a rogue state run by Putin and his ex KGB cronies. Rather than attempt to raise up their own country these people are intent on destroying the west. It is unforgivable that our politicians have taken no action to protect our country against this mob run state and even more unforgivable that many have taken the the Russian rouble over their duty to their country.

The apologists on here, whether Labour, Tory, Remainer or Leaver can go fuck themselves because by accepting this they are fucking the country we all live in.

Oh that rage is sexy but you’re not my type.

Ok. I'm not really that well versed in the methods of int collation, planning and direction of our int services or the way that analysis reports are fed from agencies up through the JIC/OCS Perm Secs Committee and cabinet up to the PM/Cabinet and Security Commission. However, my best guess is that although the threat assessment from Russia is entirely credible there may simply have been more pressing issues and 'bigger fish to fry'. I'd imagine Putin has enjoyed being left alone while we were concerned with the ME, home grown terror and the threat posed by China. If you actually get hold of the report and read it, you might notice large amounts of redacted material, and the reason for the delay may be within that, although there have been claims that there have been no further redaction since the initial limited release. All a guess on my part, but hope that will in some way count as having a 'bash'.
Well bashed mate. I have indeed read the report thanks.
You may be right re ‘bigger fish to fry’. I might be right when I say they really and truly didn’t want to know the extent either because of pissing off rich Russian benefactors or pouring petrol on the significant fire lit by the ‘remain’ movement that was mobilised at the time, or both. It’s a shame this degenerated into a simple brexit subject as there are some significant findings in the report around government inaction and the role of intelligence services. I don’t believe the report should have been dismissed as easily by the Government or by folk on here using it to bash remainers on the head :-).
In terms of redaction my understanding is that was completed months and months ago. Further delays were caused by changes to the Security committee and by Johnson’s nervousness regarding release. We will almost certainly never know the full story.

I’d like to think a few of you will look back on this thread one day and cringe a little, because believe me, from somebody who pops in and out to read about what’s happening regards Brexit, it’s pretty cringeworthy the way the thread has gone.

Don’t think anybody would disagree with that. If only we could get that.
