Torres has stated a preference to play on the left but being totally two footed will mean that we have the flexibility of switching wide men during games. I also think that we will see Sergio get on the end of more balls into the box - Torres likes to play the ball earlier which is food and drink to Kun. I have noticed this year players making early runs and not getting the ball, then later in games a definite lack of movement getting on the end of delayed crosses. We need to go back to when we had Sane and Sterling being released early by Kev and getting behind opponents. For those who are not so sure about Torres, I know Havertz is a top quality player but we are covered - our need at the moment is for pace out wide so we can get behind teams - Torres will do that and has an eye for goal - because of this I really hope we get him.

Spot on. I think that versatility is a key reason we are going for him & was part of the problem Pep appeared to have with Sane. He was either wide left or nothing, whereas a Sterling, Bernardo and to a lesser extent Mahrez all offer Pep a greater degree of tactical flexibility. Can understand why they’d be looking for a player who can operate on either side to replace Leroy.
