CAS judgement: UEFA ban overturned, City exonerated (report out p603)

After reading informed views and seeing City response is it fair to say we could do nothing about the emails being hacked so we expected something like this or at least were prepared for it.
Our response is to ask for context on each revelation and if refused release it to a trusted newspaper.
We cannot prevent the data being held or used but we can certainly point out if it is accurate or not.
I continue trusting City until proved wrong so bring on the next episode.

I'm pretty sure that's what I already alluded to, it just doesn't seem like City have tried to recover what's literally their property. There is probably is a loophole, it's just not a very moral one in my view.

It's like having your house burgled, recovered again and not getting your jewellery back(Rolex watch etc) not for legal reasons(that's clearly not what they are doing by taking things out context they've given their game away) but because some little poser thinks his mates would "find it interesting", if he wears it for a bit and pretends it's his.

Having just read Conn’s latest piece of shit I am not overly concerned. The waters are so muddy and murky, so much innuendo and lack of context I would assume our lawyers would more than love to have a second outing at CAS and I doubt UEFA would fancy rerunning this whole two year shitshow. Pearce has admitted confusion over the way payments were made, I am no expert but this seems small beer, them cuunts at Der Nazi know anything on City will generate interest but I get the impression most people are bored with it, as in none City fans. BBC aren’t running with it, maybe others will be it smacks of sour grapes at a time when most of us have enough our plates.

The issue is even if it is from a different AD institute, it contradicts his statement to CAS.

It’s not an issue us as such as it doesn’t change that it not being enough evidence anyway. It’s not a good look though, particularly for him.

Depends on what exactly CAS asked him. Maybe, as others have stated, he was asked the question in relation to organising payments from sources that come under disguised owner funding rather than payments from other, legitimate, sources. I think @projectriver pointed something like this out in one of his tweets here:

You’re not being truthful there Karen. Two emails were put together as one. That was the extent of it. CAS said that the doctoring did not affect their veracity. ie it’s pretty much insignificant. The emails are real, they haven’t fabricated them.

No. CAS comprehensively rubbished that and that was at the heart of UEFA's case. It makes no difference what Pearce may or may not have said or done.

Even Nick Harris has said it's not enough for CAS or UEFA to re-open anything. This is just a way for the press, including Der Spiegel to cover their backs and not admit they were wrong.

Why on earth have der Spiegel got a problem with us? They're keen to reignite this, I imagine because Bayern's hand is so far up their backside. The email they publish isn't even anything interesting, it's from 2013 so probably time barred and doesn't suggest anything about us lying to anyone. I genuinely expect them to try and pass off a child's crayoned letter as proof we cheated next.

There had to be a line between public interest and repeatedly publishing hacked emails which are not their property, obtained questionably and supposedly regarding a case now ruled on and closed by CAS. There could be personal details of the people who work and have worked at city which we fear they could release, endangering them and their families. Der Spiegel's persistence and spite here makes me think they'd happily publish non relevant but personal details currently.

Anyway, enough is enough. Clear attempt to damage us. We could ignore it and it will probably go away, because it's truly bollocks, but surely now we have to be taking legal advice with a view to going after them.

Maybe if we did the rest of them would think twice in future before encouraging such lies and spite.

So it is all a load of hullaballoo. It is DS making a mountain out of a mole hill, in an attempt to tarnish our name and keep them in the limelight. They clearly have no smoking gun, otherwise it would have been used by now. It is a case of DS crying wolf and everyone will get bored rather quickly with it now. They will be told to put up or shut up. Seeing as they have absolutely nothing to prove any wrong doing, it will not be long till they shut up.

the veracity comment was for the whole of the leaked emails. This particular email (#4) was doctored to create a distorted view is what CAS said. So your insignificant comment is a little naive

PB, can you help me for future arguments with rival fans? What is the relationship between the EEA and ADEC, and their relationship with ADUG? And where exactly Simon Pearce sits in all this? It’s not exactly a secret that Etihad is funded by the Abu Dhabi government. That is perfectly ok. So who are they legitimately funded by? EEA? ADEC? So many acronyms, I just want to understand it better.
