João Félix

It does sound bizarre given we're the richest club in the world (or one of) yet when we as fans hear players that would cost >£80m talked about we know it's a non-starter because our record transfer is £62m (about that) and while we've bought a fair few players for over £50m we never entertain anything over £70m so talk of Gimenez and Felix which would be >£100m are just not going to happen

I think we’d do £100m plus for the right striker to replace Kun.

What’s strange is that we don’t seem to be in for any left backs except for a seemingly up hill scrap to entice Alaba. Personally I think left back should be a priority as mendy and Zinchenko can both be liabilities.

If we could sign Alaba this summer along with Koulibaly, wow... what a defensive line we will have.

I would love Alaba, think he is brilliant. Do i think it will happen? No i don't.

It is strange that not one left back has really stood out from the rumours. Hopefully City can pull a rabbit out of the hat like they did with the Bernardo Silva transfer. I don't think anyone saw that one coming.

The impact of COVID-19 on transfer fees may make that possible, of course United’s powers of negotiation will still mean they still pay over the top. I hope they get Sancho for £120million he flops (due to Ole) and we pocket the 15%.

I am not going to kid myself, i think Utd will be signing a brilliant player in Sancho, but if i had the choice... Sancho for 120m or Werner and Ziyech for under 100m, i am taking the Chelsea deal all day long. Why pay out such a huge fee for one player when you can have two which are just as good if not better?

That is the reason i think Chelsea backed away from the Sancho deal because there were far better deals out in the market. I think City have thought exactly the same as Chelsea, why pay up to 120m on a player who will be nothing more than an expensive luxury at City, when we can spread the wealth across our squad and target other positions that are higher priority for us? It is just an absolute no brainer.

If Torres turns out 3/4 of what Sancho turns out at Utd, we have got the better deal by far. The problem with United though is, because us and Liverpool, their two fiercest rivals have knocked them off their perch, they are absolutely desperate to put their name in the headlines by making high profile, very expensive signings to try and become relevant again. They want the latest new toy who will become the next poster boy that sells millions of shirts. That is all Woodward cares about, the bloke is an absolute bellend.

That strategy is working so well for them...Lukaku, Pogba, Sanchez...the list is endless. Meanwhile we are sitting back laughing our socks off, long may it continue!

Don't know whether it's Felix or not, but do think it's the type of player we are looking for to replace Aguero, young, versatile. Also think he's the type of player that Pep really wants as a false 9 somebody that plays in a front 3 rather than playing without a striker and just playing an extra midfielder to try and get the goals.Like he did with Messi, obviously nobody is Messi but when he did it at Brcelona he did use a proper forward not a midfielder converted.

These sort of situations, where teams spend a ludicrous amount of money on a player & find out he is total shit, usually end in a loan plus option to buy deal.
He is not sh1t, wonderful player, they need cash to pay for the stadium and urgently.
