With Ake and Torres already in and Koulibaly, Ait Nouri and another looking likely, how does that leave is in terms of the squad quotas?

We're allowed 17 home grown for the PL and we're allowed the same amount in the UCL but 4 of the home grown have to be from the youth system

2. Cancelo
3. Laporte
4. Otamendi
5. Fernandinho
6. Mendy
7. Zinchenko
8. Rodri
9. KDB
10. Gundogan
11. Bernardo
12. Mahrez
13. Torres
14. Aguero
15. Jesus

Looks like Koulibaly will take Otamendi's spot. That then leaves us 2 spares for a goal keeper and another. With a LB, CM and striker all being mentioned.

A few years back we had about 6/7 players in the England squad and quite a few were starters. Nothing will change while they have friends in high places at other clubs.

Weren’t all starters, and certainly not England captain and number 9 though. I’m sure you’re right though, Kane will suddenly ‘always like a dive that lad’ said about him

He won’t leave juve any time soon, plus I think I’m right in saying his agent is raiola, so wouldn’t be going anywhere near him if he did decide to leave, same reason why we’ll probably never be in for haaland either

I can understand it happening when there are priority positions & injuries, such as Mendy, but the next two transfer windows should see us fixing all of those situations imo, otherwise it's just negligence.
 
Will Stones now stay?

Seemed he and Otamendi were out the door. If that still happens we'll need another 2 centre backs now Garcia is leaving?
 
I’ll probably be shot down for this but, so long as has the intelligence, I have a feeling that Ake is going to be the understudy for Ferna as a defensive central midfielder, as well as being Laporte’s stand in...He has played there before apparently, and Pep loves a player he can teach...

And what’s to say he won’t play 2 defensive midfielders against certain teams where we need that back door firmly shut. Also, while Rodri is right footed Ake is left footed, so would be the perfect complement...also Pep could then employ 3 at the back...
