They’ll probably hire this guy!How on Earth are they going to check everyone's details?

cos they'v been using their points for away games ? for years ?
if so,still better than the corporates getting 3 away tickets for any game they want, and chairmen of supporters clubs tickets etc
Some insight but nothing really firmed up yet. We're actively engaged with the club on this and we have another meeting on this tomorrow, when we hopefully should know a bit more. But there were more questions than answers after the last meeting. I'm sure many will jump at the chance to get back in the stadium but I'm also sure many won't think it's worth the bother.Do you have any insight into club thinking about how we will get back into stadia? I saw something yesterday re Rugby union about having covid passports to prove that you are covid free. Is City Matters sitting at all just now?
Thanks mate.
When you say "new measures" what do you think a seasoncard amnesty is Liam? You will be able to transfer someone else's ticket you've been using into your own name. And it was always the intention to allow people to do this for next season, Covid or not.Think there's quite a few out there who go on tickets in other peoples names (dead relatives etc.) because they've been told that they cannot change the name on the card/they lose the seasoncard and they have to join the back of the queue for season tickets. Hopefully the club will rethink this before they bring these new measures in.
so they just go on dead relative's season cards ?Nothing to do with loyalty points or away games

What do they prove?its the sake of a few quid to get a few printed off from a photo booth. Price of a pint.
Why would you give up a season ticket if someone wanted to use it? My son went off to uni in the USA after the 2011/2012 season. I kept his ticket thinking he'd be back sooner or later but he's still there, married and unlikely to ever come back here (unless Trump wins in November, in which case he reckons he's on the first plane back). So someone uses his ticket but now they can have it in their own name. I know people who use tickets where the person named is coming up to 65 and therefore they'd automatically be charged the concessionary rate even though the user should pay full adult price.so they just go on dead relative's season cards ?
cos they want to sit with friends /family etc ?
its cheaper than match day tickets ?
Glad we got there in the endGotcha. Sounds good.
Season cards should have photos on.You can get a nationally accredited one for £15. People just want something to moan about. If the club put pictures on seasoncards, someone would moan about human rights.
Why? If this situation is going to go on for a few years then I'd agree but can't see any good reason otherwise.Season cards should have photos on.

So we've been asking for this for a while and really should have done it last summer but the club wasn't sure about a few things so we missed the opportunity.

It's a one-off opportunity, which was planned anyway but has been precipitated by the current situation. If my son says no, then we don't do it. If he agrees then comes back, he'd have to go on the waiting list (if we have one). The club need the right contact details for everyone attending games so even if you aren't planning to transfer your ST then you'll have to ensure your details are in order on the database. What if your son comes back? re-transfer the card back to him?
Does this end up with a 'black market' of transferring ST names instead of people waiting on the list?
I think that will be the default position unless the person who's currently on the card says otherwise but waiting for confirmation of that tomorrow.i was asking liam btw but fare enough
btw
does the new season ticket holder keep the points from the person they're taking their season ticket from ?

The same situation exists at Liverpool and certainly used to at Old Trafford. Mate of mine (now sadly passed on) had something like 9 tickets which he rented out.
I can see them installing facial recognition in the future, to check your ID as you use the turnstiles. If you let someone else use your card, it would be quite easy to upload their picture and details onto your supporter account. They've probably wanted to do something similar for a while but now with COVID, it means they can implement such a scheme without fear of pushback from the fans.
That explains the empty rows of seats against the less attractive oppositionIt's a one-off opportunity, which was planned anyway but has been precipitated by the current situation.
