Eric Garcia to Barcelona

I was wrong with Garcia's potential. He doesn't have Puyol's aggression or athleticism and those are natural attributes that he will not attain easily. Lyon were decent but not that special.

Even if he was going to be special, he has no right whatsoever to be playing for City at this stage & is already complicit in fucking up two competitions.

Pep claimed he picked the side he did, because of 'weaknesses'.

So nobody is safe

Well I'm not calling for Pep out. He was utter shite tonight but he's the best we've ever had. Managers are all fucking weirdos bar none.

But Garcia should not be playing cb for City & if he is next season, then Pep will be gone anyway, on the strength of it .

Messi calling out the manager..gay boy calling the manager out.
B.charltòn..bobby more.noble styles,
I can go on,some havnent done the job but they no better,WC Winners were shite fking as manager's
The shit we've had compared to pep is fking unbelievable was so arsehole are saying now

bad choice to start him today should have went with otamendi or even stones, but really should have changed the whole starting line up and went with ferna at the back and put b. silva on
Why the fuck are we picking a player who only last week said he didn’t want to play for us. At least John Stones wants to play for us.

I hope this was his last game with us. I said from the first moment that he is so overrated, and I see that more and more people are starting to understand this.

You cant play Gundogan, Rodri and Fern with 2 wing/backs and 2 c/b`s and expect to break a team down.
Flooding the field with defensive players is no substitute for defensive organisation either.

When we brought on Mahrez for Fern who was on a card and David for Rodri although it should of been that slow fucker Gundogan we looked more effective in attack.

I'm one of the 7. odd % who voted lose pre kickoff.

But I prepared to be educated.

Imo, the same game with Stones, Mendy, Bernardo or Foden, we would have won without much fuss. Still had a couple of fuckups, but, not too bad. They weren't great going forward.

I think Garcia didn`t deserve a place because he wants out so ok Stones, Bernardo for Fern, Foden for Gundogan but I wouldn`t have Mendy over Cancelo.

Said it before, the player is bang average. One too many city fans on here made him out to be the next Baresi.

He may be bang average in terms of the here and now but he's 19. How many 19 yr old CBs are out there playing at the top level? He is very talented for his age, he should be being dipped in and out but Ota is done, Stones can't be relied upon to even stay fit nvm defend well, and Dinho god love him is 35 and basically only at the club now to offer leadership and continuity given the players we're losing every year ...and Txiki fucked up in the summer.

Fair enough, one for the future. But on current state there is no way he should have played or even be near this team. Stones and Laporte or Otamendi and Laporte.

And as Pep said, he didn't want to go toe to toe with their attackers. So if thats the case why the fk play Garcia?

One thing we had with Kompany, a not as old & bonkers Otamendi, and a not sad Stones, as well as with Laporte of course, was a bunch of CBs that could be really good at being aggressive high up the pitch. I think what Pep thought with Fernandinho was that he could replicate that, but circumstances mean he's not quite got what it takes.

I actually rate Garcia, there's a good CB in him. But right now the fact we only have one CB that can play high up decently is killing us, and it's left us with an environment that's too tough for Garcia to flourish with us. Particularly as right now he's not at the level of being a top aggressive CB. No surprise given his size and age. Had we had a 17/18 or 18/19 situation, with at least 3 really reliable CBs it would have been a safe place for him to develop without the hiccups being too costly. And to be honest if we sign another top defender, on top of Aké with Laporte, he might have just had a real good opportunity to flourish.

Alas, he's made his bed. With tonight's result it may prompt us into getting a couple really good defenders in with Garcia leaving now.

Stop the fck sentiment. García had a good game. The one that DID disappoint, on a European stage again, was Laporte. By far our worst defender on the night that started with his first sprint where he looked slower than a turtle at full speed. Lucky Garcia bailed him out.

These are professional players. The manager chooses the team. Garcia is 19 and was more than decently doing his job.

I think in his mind he had to play 3, and he's given up on Otamendi and Stones it seems. Therefore Garcia.

What did he do wrong tonight ?

Cancelo is just a winger imo.

But the bigger problem imo is, that Pep has no respect for defending, so any 3, 4 or 5 he plucks from his hat, are supposed to instantly do the job, even if they barely play together.

Pretty much anybody, ever, who is half decent at it, will say how important it is, to build partnerships. Pep hasn't got any, since Vinny went & Stones went strange. Laporte now looks nothing, because of it.

His whole City future will depend on that changing imo.
