Seasoncard Amnesty

Correct. Ticket sharing is now obsolete, using track and trace as the cover story because photo ID is now mandatory.

that does make sense. Hopefully city are lenient when it comes to using the exchange. I usually attend 40% of games but use to pass the ticket to friends to odd time and use the exchange the rest. Even used Dazs page a few times to sell a seat beside me but that’ll be gone now.

Outrageous to think I'm now going to struggle getting tickets to any cup game after not missing any home game (incl cups) or Wembley trip since 2011.

It's six games currently, so they may need to up that. Having said that, with capacity slashed, who is going to buy spares?

How can i log in to my account if i don't have access to the email address the season card is registered to?

I think you will have to contact the original owner and ask them to update the club with your details or are you saying you no longer have access to your own email address that is registered?

Thanks Colin, I realised a few minutes ago I'd got the wrong end of the stick completely and now understand. Thanks nonetheless :)
LOL. I was about to give you some serious shit! Good job I didn't.

But this issue sums up what I said could be frustrating about dealing with the club. Two people at the club gave us two completely opposite statements about transferring points.

We've also been talking about an amnesty for quite a while, as I said, and about how we deal with the accumulated points. Yet we only found out last week that the standard process they've always applied was the one they've detailed, treating it as a new seasoncard.

And nowhere in the email does it say they've been talking to us about this for the last few weeks when we've had something like 6 or 7 hours worth of meetings over this in the last month, both as a group or with the club.

Even if 25% of ST holders are able to attend "25%" of games (4-5 games) i doubt theyll be many spares and hopefully be able to make those games both health and travelwise. Otherwise - hopefully we can give them to family or friends or money back from the exchange.

try your supporters number as your email address...then it might prompt you to log in with supporters number and password.i had this issue but works with SN and not email for me.

We'll see how it is implemented. Euro 96 was when ID was supposed to introduced to stop touting and first and nothing happened.

Handing over ID and SCs to be checked increases the risk of spread, it needs to be contactless entry which is possible with a few changes.

Maybe you have to wait for the email from the club? It seemed to be in a different section of the site. I had to click on a link in the email and it took me straight to my details with a few questions to answer. Hope this helps.
There's a link in the email and on the website item, in the penultimate paragraph headed 'Review Your Data'.

Is that right? You transfer a card to a different person, and they get another 1,000 points to add to the points the original cardholder built up (including the points they got when they first bought a seasoncard)?

I've had this season ticket for nearly 15 years and it's not in my name I've built up 26k points on it.

I just want to change the name on it to mine, I can't workout if this is what they are calling a 'transfer' and I'll end up with a new card with 1000 points on it and I'll still have the card that's not in my name.

If so, then I might as well get some dodgy I.D to match my season ticket.

Hasn't it already been said that this is a temporary measure just whilst T&T is needed?

No it hasn't. Make no mistake this has been planned for a while and is here to stay.

Put yourself in City's position. An amnesty and ID suits the club to maximise sales (by ensuring only those with named tickets go to the game, not letting your mate have it, maximising the Exchange and match day ticket prices). Track and trace has facilitated this yet there are 101 ways of doing that but they've not been implemented, this has. Photo ID has only ever been used to combat trouble and stop touting. This does neither.

As already mentioned, if lots of points are involved it'll mean dodgy IDs to match the ticket rather than an amnesty as intended.

Typical City.

Honest question but why have you had a season card in another name for so long? I assume you don't have another in your name.
