Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

Or 3 times in quarter finals..
Fuck, this could turn into the Sane thread, will he wont he.
No, I am not saying 'Pep is shit', 'Pep out', for me he'll always be the best manager I ever watched and I am watching football since mid 70s. And one of the reasons I always adored him was his uncompromising style and how he change the way football has been played. All that staff 'we win or lose, but we always play' etc..and then Saturday night comes and he literally turns all things he's been preaching since 2008 upside down. It wasn't just some of his occasional tinkerings, or a wrong decision, that was a manager that folded up under his own inner pressure. That's the only thing I am saying and that's why I am saying Pep of old days is gone.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I get the feeling you ain't so keen on Mr Cheeseman :)

I can’t for the life of me work out how you came to that conclusion. Well, apart from him accusing Cheesy of being an apologist for kiddie fiddling the other week and saying he’d DM me as to why that is (still waiting for that DM by the way), and then Cheeseman being the only journo who broke the news that it was looking increasingly likely we had won at CAS the Friday before the official announcement, info that Billy scoffed at as he claimed nobody at the club knew the result until the day of the CAS release.
Now I’m not saying Cheeseman’s got it right this time but if he has, I can see Billy crying about it for months. Or putting it down to a lucky guess!

The last thing we need, is to be in a title race in December and him come out and saying this season will be his last at the club. I can't be doing with another Pellegrini scenario.

Either he signs a contract now and we celebrate knowing we have him tied down, or he and the club keep their gobs shut until the end of next season.

If they don't say anything how will that effect the players

Or he leaves

There are 3 options and he should get on and confirm which one it’s going to be.

It was just a thought that went through my mind............. :)

Lu Martin saying that Cheeseman's information is incorrect means that Cheeseman's information is completely incorrect.
Yes. Lu replied to Cheeseman's tweet with "no".

Pretty succinct and to the point. I asked someone I know who works at the club too, and their response was "nonsense" to the idea that Pep had agreed to sign a new deal.

I think those conversations will be had over the next two weeks rather than them having already happened and everything decided.
Well, Pep and the club could have agreed to keep this quiet but Cheesy once again got a scoop from his chatty super source.

With the new season literally a few weeks away Pep will definitely be at the helm, I think he will go next year, not ideal for obvious reasons but it is what it is.

4 years to win his first trophy and 7 to win their first league title under him despite spending an absolute fortune in relative terms(far more than anybody else in the league) with more playing staff turnover than I could count.

And idiots on here think we should move Pep on...
And don't forget, baconface turned up to Maine Road for a 5-1 mauling with the most expensive team in world football.

Talk of nothing being announced until December is very concerning, if true.
If the club were to make the same mistake twice I'd have to question the decision makers and my faith in them will take a hit.
Which is why I think its bollocks. There's no way we have become that negligent.

I would have thought it will get done soon, but I wouldn't put any special meaning on it, if it's not done, other than both sides want to see how the team is reacting next season before deciding.

If the team don't respond, Pep will walk, most definitely.
