Running thread

did a 7k this morning, foots killing.

Nike trainer split, so busted and rather not wear any of my normal trainers.

Does anyone from experience recommend any running trainers for say under the £60 mark?
Sorry to hear about your shoes. To be honest, this is the one bit of kit where it's wise to pay the money for something that does the job and prevents injuries. It's hard to get decent running shoes for less than about £75.

Which Nike runners have you been using and how long did you have them for?

Try and get to a sports shop where they video you on the treadmill. According to your gait they can then recommend the right shoe for you. I used to love Adidas Boost but have switched to Asics as they tend to be cheaper.

think i am going with the Adidas Pulseboots HD. Good reviews and looks like some ankle support aswell.

If you can, get yourself to the Asics outlet store at Cheshire Oaks. You can usually pick up something reasonably priced there and they will check out your gait and advise whether you pronate/under-pronate or are neutral.

Have an open mind going in... reviews like this make me dubious about the shoe. Seems heavy and the ankle bit gets mentioned.

Try them on properly (if at all possible). If the shop don't let you, then buy them, wear them out of the store, walk back in after a good walk and return them if not all that :)

Fit and what suits your foot is everything but you cannot go wrong with anything from this list imho.

Youtube is only a guide. If you've run in Adidas foam itterations before and had no issues, sure you'll be fine.
I ran in Pegasus 35's and people were saying the 37's were a bit narrowerer and clunkier as the heel's taller. I find them brilliant. It's down to you. Don't forget if you don't like them, just return them. With new trainers, always test them out on a dry sunny day. That way you can return them in almost spotless condition without issue. Run in the rain and cake them with mud and they'll no doubt kick off.

Then once you are happy to keep them spray some of this over them every 3-4 months - it'll make water bead off rather than go into the fabric and if your sole is white, mud splashes can be wiped off without staining. I use it on the family shoes - ace for primary kid shoes that get mucky too. Now my Peg 35's have lost their bounce they look great for a casual walking trainer round parks etc. :)
