I was reading the BBC's article on Silva yesterday and about the statue they're are going to make - the mistake I made was reading the comments below, every other one of them a Liverpool fan slagging off City and Silva - so I commented "It must be a City article because the comments are full of Liverpool fans, what a strange cult you are" - I later received an email from the BBC saying it had been taken down as it contravened house rules. Basically Liverpool fans can say what the fuck they like but have a go back and it's reported and removed - arseholes both them and the BBC.

If be interested to see what happened, if we copied some of their comments and pasted them into a similar article about a Liverpool player or official.

Song for Bernardo Silva when we eventually get in the stadiums
Sung for the dippers especially
To the tune of zombie by the cranberries
What's in your head, in your head, Bernardo, Bernardo bernarrrrdo

Liverpool fans always bang on that City are an artifical or plastic club yet their club is the very definition of an artificial club. When Everton walked out of Anfield after John Houlding tried to cheat them by raising the rent, increasing the rate of interest on loans he'd made to them and trying to force them to float the club and with the money buy his land and that of a mate of his called Orrell on which Anfield stood, which would have made him a fortune, the greedy bastard was left with a ground but no club.

He then founded LFC to artificially create tenants for his empty Anfield which he gave to the club free of charge.

Followed that up by buying all the best players that money could buy.
Became Tory Lord Mayor of that cesspit too.
The Scouse not English brigade that claim to be a Socialist Club haven't got a clue about "istree"
If you mention John Houlding to your average victim, they think it's a reference to the piss can Aldridge with his head in his hands after becoming the first player to miss a penalty in an FA cup final.

i think this is the problem with a lot of their fanbase- they believe all the media hype about them but know very little about the club they proclaim to support. they certainly have the numbers just like united did but half their fanbase probably hate sharing the stadium with the other half. the scouse not english shite irritates me more than anything- well maybe not if i think of aldo.

Utd fans are the same, haven't got a clue and I love mentioning their numerous financial leg ups they've had whenever they bang on about money and the gormless Phil Jones type facial expressions they pull once they hear the truth.
They're basically two cheeks of the same arse but I must admit the Kopites are far more embarrassing and far worse than their Rag equivalents in the Borough of Trafford.

I've even had a Liverpool fan tell me that the Moores family only funded Everton and didn't put a penny into Liverpool. He failed to clarify how, as a 2nd division club, they could afford to buy a new team including Ian St John who cost the then 3rd highest ever British transfer fee.

He was also ignorant of the fact that Shankly was hired as their manager after 5 years floundering in the old 2nd division (denying of course that they'd ever been in the 2nd division) and shortly after a hugely embarrassing defeat to Worcester City in the FA Cup. He also of course denied that result ever happened. At that time Anfield was a shambles with even no means of watering the pitch and Shankly himself described Melwood as "a shambles".

in 59 they were in the second division, shankly transformed them without a doubt. they treated him outrageously near the end mainly by the directors. the shankly gates only went up after his death and the statue of him was sponsored by carlsberg not the club itself.
I believe Shankly was welcomed as a guest by Everton to watch football as Liverpool had basically shunned him.
I'd also heard his autobiography was banned from sale in the club shop as he had the temerity to thank the Moores family for the financial support that enabled him to build a platform for his success.
