I can addJust to clarify we went to Liverpool and he got his usual knockout champions league yips. He played the main man Gundo on the right instead of Sterling. It was an absolute head scratcher before the game but not as much as Saturday’s line up. Spurs away we played Gundo ahead of KDB and tried to control the game rather than attack and score away goals against a very average side. Yes Sergio missed a pen but we created next to nothing aside from that and he didn’t stick Sané and KDB on until about 3 minutes left. Shocker not scoring away cost us. Over those 3 games where Pep has lost his bollocks we’ve managed 1 goal. Let’s not pretend Pep went for it in those other defeats because he didn’t until he had no choice.
The reality
During the last CL final games except Lyon :
Away
Couldn't score in Monaco, Liverpool and Spurs
Couldn't keep a clean shit at home or at least just limiting it to 1 goal
Shipped 3 goals from Monaco
2 or 3 from Liverpool
3 from Spurs
There is nothing genius about that, im not a knee jerk but even with a bottom defensive Manager City wouldn't have done worse
The approach is not good, the movement of the ball is slow, sometimes you feel we have no players who can pass and controll long balls in order to win spaces.
Add to that the pure talent of some players, that PSG 2nd goal wouldn't have been scored 9/10 it wasn't for Neymar skill who handle it perfectly.
Before any of this games, you would think City is going to smash it, then the line up come out, after 5 minutes of the gale you feel that City team is simply overrated and cannot dominate and then end up crashing out
Someting is missing it just takes the opposition to score one first goal and City crumble, it is becoming a rarity that City win from a losing position.
