Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

It's quite simple to control. You make sure people on our wanker list miss out on exclusives, briefs, steers - warning other members of the patch pack that they will also miss out if they do share it with them.

You don't give them a pass to the Sunday presser, you don't give the Sunday or Monday man a tunnel pass for post-match.

All they have is pooled access to Champions League under the rules, but our lads can just walk right on by.

You basically ensure they can't do their jobs and then they will have their desks suffering.

Some are good guys but they work for outlets that have nothing but scorn for our club.

Will City do this though?

“Pep is staying and will see out the remainder of his constract.” Quote: Soriano.

Pep Guardiola will see out Manchester City contract, insists chief executive Ferran Soriano

But Soriano said: “There’s not any particular plan at this time. The winter market is a challenging market – it’s very narrow, there’s not a lot of players in the market. We will see. But we don’t have any specific plan.”

I think there are too many variables at this stage to be able to say for certain that Pep will stay.

For example, if he wins the CL (unlikely but stranger things have happened) will Pep want to stay any longer?

If we win nothing this season and Pep doesn’t sign an extension, is it worth letting him stay for one year and rebuild the team in his image?

The ball is obviously in Pep’s court and the job seems to be his for as long as he wants it, I just feel a bit uneasy with a manager having so much control.

We need for once to get over our moral high ground. It just has never worked. Unless you're a wolf, you'll be eaten by the other wolves. We want to live in a world that doesn't exist and will never exist.
