Kalidou Koulibaly

People shouldn’t be so reactive to reports coming out of Italy, they will continue to go from one end of the spectrum to the other. The Italian sports media love producing all this drama and there is usually about 2% truth in any of it.

City and Napoli will be negotiating and it will get done when it gets done, despite the 13,000 more reports to come from Italy.

ADL does well to resist. It seems that the 70 mln offer has not arrived yet, but in any case, in my opinion it is very little ... If he had done a standard year we would have talked about 120 like last year, from 120 to 70 is too much. If we have to sell him off as a Napoli fan I keep him, I sell Manolas for 30 at that point, and instead of taking Gabriel, I take Sokratis. I hope they won't give you this gift. Minimum 80 million for Koulibaly,
He is nearly 30,behave,not to mention their is a pandemic and clubs have lost money

Napoli are desperate to sell, 35 plus add ons, or walk away.
I have more faith than many in our team. Our record of 65 mil, is 25th in the World, let it remain.

Hope not. Hate wingback systems. If you're gonna go 3 at the back go about it properly and play wingers. Also don't think 1 holder with a back 3 is ideal for the buildup

Rather go back to a more rotational back 3/4 hybrid

Alaba would be the most ideal LB for us, as he, like Walker on the other side, is adept at overlapping the winger, playing CB and moving into DM. Ake can probably do all of those bar overlapping the winger (one reason why losing Sane is such a blow imo) but if Foden, being left footed, was allowed to play the leftsided AM position he could do some of that.
eg.
Sterling -- Aguero ----Torres
-- Foden --- De Bruyne
--[Ake]- Thiago (Walker)
---(Ake) Laporte Koulibaly [Walker]
Ederson
When Walker is in the back 3 Ake moves to DM and vice versa (all depends on which side of the pitch the ball is on)
One can dream

no Bernado.... oh how we forget (:

Sure, but it shouldn't be Napoli's problem. We took Osimhen (Mr. none) for 70 million, how can Koulibaly be given for 70 million? With current prices it is a gift, despite the age. Ronaldo at 34 was paid 100 million. If we get less than 80 million I will be disappointed. However, a 29-year-old player can be fine for another 6-7 years at most, at least 4 if he falls quickly. It doesn't seem like little. I tell you that at this point I will keep it, and I will be happy to hope that the usual phenomenon returns

Why time? There’s a month til the new season..

That's a mere four weeks for our current squad to get back to full speed, PLUS for any further new players to get to know Pep's system and co-players.

Btw, do we have any pre-season friendlies lined up? Spurs and 'pool already at it.

can play in Peps system blindfolded, Sarri had him at his best in a similar set up at Napoli

Napoli have an offer from #ManCity for Kalidou Koulibaly. However, the agreement between Napoli and City didn’t come soon enough for the Serie A club to sign Gabriel - who will now agree to join Arsenal. [

Napoli are reportedly about to open talks with Shakhtar for Matvienko instead, so Gabriel choosing Arsenal won't mean Koulibaly is off. It'll just give ADL more time to demand more for him, however they do need to sell him before they buy other players so I can't see it dragging on for too much longer.

35 mill? Are you completely n*ts mate? So we should let go of De Bruyne for 35m to any interested club because after all, he’s 29 years old? It’s pretty much what you’re saying. You don’t expect half of Europe to line-up for Koulibaly if his pricetag was 35m?
Age aside, he’s one of the very best in his position. Desperate or not, Napoli is nowhere near that stupid.

Getting a bit tired of these ignorant posts.

Confirmed now that Gabriel will join Arsenal instead of succeeding Koulibaly at Napoli. Let’s see if this screws up our deal in anyway. As we all know that president is quite the lose cannon.

Bit ironic though that our own Arteta could ruin this deal, indirectly.
