from the little i understand reading TH's posts - wages wont be an issue - we can pay him a one off fee at any point (signing on fee etc) and have him on decent wages as well.

There is also the huge CFG project that he could be involved in and paid for for the rest of his life even after he hangs up his boots......

Yeah their board are cunty but I think just these days of strongly threatening to leave and watching the reaction from the fans would be enough to put them in their place. I mean he has the mediatic and public-image power to change things from the inside.
Going away now hurts the whole team, club and fans when his grudge was just with the board.
It's not unheard of in the history of transfers but it's the type of figure he is for Barça that makes it more surprising.

Changed a bit since then but bookies must make a fortune on transfers.
 
They say that City has been built to bring Pep to us as we have Soriano, Txiki etc, but what if we’ve actually been built to bring in Messi and it’s finally worked? I wasn’t keen a few weeks ago on the idea of him taking minutes from Phil and spending that money on a 33 year old, but, his stats are still incredible. Plus, he’s MESSI!!

like i said if manchester city have not done a deal with messi and got him signed before today then its not going to happen ? the transfer market open and clubs that can match or better what we are offering him why would he pick city

its a fast ticking clock and at age his age you would think the next move would be the best deal he can get money wise
club football wise he's won and done everything, so it has to be right for his family and lifestyle ? yes city have the spanish and catalan connections he's work with before and pep loves manchester so maybe that can help
 
As for his hypothetical links with Inter, it would be very weird to see him play for Conte given the style of football Conte wants. At the same time, if it really happens Serie A will be interesting as hell and that's only a good thing. If it doesn't happen we'll obviously add it to our repertoire of things to ridicule Inter fans with.

I'm sure he'd rather play for Guardiola though lol.

It's weird to watch a big transfer drama without any particular interest in it. Even if it wasn't obviously impossible and we didn't have Ronaldo in our squad, I'm still not sure I'd want us to buy him now.

Wouldn't surprise me if he gets a big sponsorship from Holland's puddings as well.

On the CAF they think the transfer Guru Woodward is all over this, and its just a matter of how much money that they dont have is put into messi pay packet .
