Don’t know why anybody is bothered about the money involved. It’s Messi ffs. We’ve got cash to burn anyway and we will have queues of sponsorship deals lined up to cover the costs. I have no doubt puma would stump up a lot of money to see Adidas’ star man in a puma city shirt given their rivalry. Shirt sponsorship deals are immediately renegotiated, merchandise sales go through the stratosphere, plastering his face in a City shirt on every random bit of tat will be done if absolutely needs be.
As for his number, does anybody think he might want to “retire” the messi10 brand, Leave that at Barca and pick a new number? Sergio one of his best mates, whilst I’m sure kun wouldn’t be overly bothered about it if it came to it would he walk into city and take the number 10 from our most iconic player?
