yet he could pay his contract out & leave for €52m, so no one will be paying anywhere near the €700m reported. That’s just the media trying to make the deal sound beyond stupid financially to fit their anti City narrative.
 
My sources are telling me that when @tolmie's hairdoo finds out a merge has been done and his Messi news has been taken from his own "its quiet" threads, trademarked and copyrighted and he should now post his nuggets in an imposter thread, a battle between his entourage and @Ric in mod towers could well mean a parting of the ways.

where the fuck are these press stories coming from that we are offering Gabby, Bernardo and Garcia as part of the deal. That must be shite surely. Garcia fair enough because he wants to go but the other two? For a free agent?

I met someone who worked at the factory in HR who told me that it was deliberate.

They know that kids will eat whatever sweets they are bought so had to convince adults that Haribo's are the sweets they've always eaten. The advert was specifically aimed at adults, not kids. The rugby player actually worked at the factory. You'll see it on the left hand side of the M62 just past Castleford if Hull City ever come back from their current crisis.

Funny how it's us and it's complicated and difficult yet in the same breath the media are saying utd could afford him and PSG.
Let's get it right, not one person outside of us wants Messi at city - the premier league, sky sports, the English media, the FA, UEFA, FIFA, fans from other team - not any of them.
Messi coming here will change the landscape forever.

They came from Sport, which is as unreliable a source as you’ll find. Now others are just recycling that story as they like to do.

KDB is the only player in this squad who will be tough to replace and that's in 4-5 years time. The rest of the squad is fairly young.

Gündogan is replaceable, we are already looking for someone to come in after Aguero goes, we look great for the future if anything, I can understand the depth issue with selling Jesus, being left with just 1 striker and plenty of false 9s, but age isn't an issue imo.

I've heard people say £100m a year allowing for bonuses and image rights but I wouldn't know other than what gets mentioned online. I don't understand where he stands contractually. I watched an interview with Balague yesterday where he said he had spoke to 5 different people about Messi's contract / release clause and they all had different opinions on what it meant. Surely if he could buy himself out then these experts would know? It does seem that players like Herrera have used this to transfer from this club, and yet if it was open to Messi, why hasn't it been mentioned. if it was possible, I think teams like Real madrid would have a complete field day. they could do what they want.

Agree, but Tolmie reckons Messi has no impact on out other signings,he was expecting 3 more which may include a forward we thought was to replace Aguero next year might be to replace Jesus this. Who knows, I would prefer to keep Jesus though.
