The thing is, Jesus isn’t a first choice team member generally even without Messi in the squad.
Aguero's coming off a nasty knee injury at 32. It's already taken longer than expected to heal.
It wouldn't be a surprise at all if Jesus is our starting striker next season.

I wish people didn't insult Gundogan by hoping he would move to Barca. Is it really that difficult to comprehend that Gundogan plays because the best manager in the world decides so? Without Pep the chance to sign Messi this window would be dead in the water. Yet people still pretend they know better than Pep whether Gundogan is good enough.
and yet our loss stats all coincide with his starts.

Me too but as many suggested that is unlikely to be City's offer.I'd be very surprised if we were willing to offer up Gabriel Jesus as part of the deal.
As others have pointed the story maybe inaccurate but it's still an interesting talking point because we appear to be approaching negotiations. So how do you determine a transfer fee?

- Material circumstances such as contract expiry, player's age, and attitude.
My cap would be Jesus and Garcia for Messi. Above that it is not worthwhile, and just as importantly City would seem to be able to strike a better deal through a buy-out (however that depends on his contract).

I think he’s a decent player but for our tempo he is shite. He’s also not a creator in the slightest. Literally everyone can see he’s a passenger 90% of the time.

Regarding Messi, what he would contribute off the pitch means that he would probably be worth a fee in the region of 100m. And I trust Pep to find a system that makes the most out of Messis's qualities without undermining our pressing game.

It isn't difficult to comprehend that he plays because Pep decides so, it's just difficult to comprehend why, but all the greatest people in the World have flaws and unfortunately imo Gundogan is Peps blindspot. Doesn't mean I know better than Pep, it means I have eyes and can see a player that looks for an easy pass and shits out of tackles over and over again, if I had done that as a 12yr old I would have got subbed off.

Just further to that laughable MD article for anyone not familiar with them. They are Barca's mouthpiece, they have 0 connections with us. Even Barca fans are laughing it off as desperation from Bartomeu and give it zero credibility/consideration on their forums. They are no more than a propaganda machine for Barca, think like the BBC for Utd but even less subtlety (if thats possible). Garcia obviously wants to go. Jesus doesn't strike as one who is pushing for a move. He has been patient and despite some limitations, actually suits Pep's system. I doubt its true. Barca is a mess right now not exactly attractive destination.
Was only concerned, coz cheeseman was right about the CAS verdict
