He reckoned 2% of cfg was worth 180 mill. So total £270 mill. 54 million / year. Not sure how the rest is made up, if there is more, unless it’s personal sponsorships and image rights.

I think your last line has nailed it, his wage of a 1M a week is made up of possibly 3/4 of sponsorship and image rights.

Whilst I like the fact that City are prepared to be innovative in order to secure the services of the world's best player I do wonder about some possible consequences of offering such a deal.

What happens if we are in for other players in the future and their agents push for a similar arrangement.

Also how do the De Bruynes, the Sterlings and the rest feel about another player getting a share of the CFG?
