he's only a winning captain in england because of broad and anderson with swing
overseas we get found out and smash in places like australia and India because of poor choices he makes

we will get smashed in the next ashes down under in 2021/22 because root has come out all ready and said jimmy will be playing ?? what has the ECB and root learnt from last time when took swing bowlers like jimmy anderson and got smashed and lost the ashes in 2 weeks

root is a poor captain everybody knows it, even the skysports panel bring it up time and time again about field settings made by root and letting teams run away with games

3 key players for root is broad anderson and stokes he knows in england 1 or 2 of them will produce something to win the game and get root out of a hole, unlike a good captain when he will control the game in the field add pressure and get wickets because of being good captain

The recent overseas record has been poor because England have concentrated on dominating the white ball game.

Root is an average captain that gets too much stick from people. How can you dominate when you have no decent openers, a spinner or fast bowlers with a cricket brain?

India and Australia have better players than us. That is why we are likely to lose when touring their countries.

root and the board of selectors should know about any tour plans and what type of bowlers are best suited to the
the conditions, the kookaburra ball down under means you need more than just swing, you need pace and bounce
and england have had options like liam plunkett steven finn mark wood but broad and jimmy open the attack

now we have only archer and mark wood and nothing else ? this is because of root still keeping anderson and broad woakes stokes and a spinner, england should be using the time we have to find another fast bowler or 2 and let jimmy anderson play 1 in 3 games in england and none overseas

Who else is there to play? He can’t play players that don’t exist.

there must be players out there and they just need a chance that is why jimmy and broad should be used in patches and not together

maybe Olly Stone Saqid Mahmood pat brown, but without giving them a chance then england will fall back on jimmy and broad every time

They could try them and potentially get hammered. They haven’t proven they are test standard in the domestic game yet, so it would be massively risky.

We have no decent spinner, so we aren’t going to do well in Asia.
