Ha he has turned into a right dick now he has his own show, that and the poisoned frog who hates us for some reason, together they are bitter and resentful, i used to enjoy listening to him on espn
 
Just posted on the Messi thread as well, but FWIW here is my take on the situation thus far;

  • Lionel Messi wants to leave Barcelona and has informed them as such.
  • Lionel Messi wants to come to us and has told us so!
  • We have a contingent deal in place, which rests on many factors, the main one is that we aint ever going to pay 650M+
  • He has now left it to 'his people' to come up with a deal for his departure from Barcelona.
  • This will take time due to all the posturing and face saving political issues associated with being the person who let Messi go!
  • IMO... a certain Lionel Messi is already looking for a house in the NW of England, well not him personally, that will of course be something else his people are doing of course!
Be patient and sit tight everyone as the great Lionel Messi is coming and it will take an incredible turnaround, on a scale never known before, for this not to happen now!!
 
It looks like it's all bullshit Barca politics and posturing as usual, time we fucked this saga off and focus on real signings like Koulibaly and somebody fast that can tackle in midfield.
 
I really hoped the arrival of Jorge Messi from Rosario will kick things off for this saga, but quite the opposite so far. Its more of the same with Messi staying probably having bigger chance now.

Jorge Messi is not the the maffia guy I expected him to be. If he would be a De Laurentiis type, Messi would be here by now.

I think Soriano has to send a message to both Bartomeu and Messi camp, to close this circus within a week or forget City.
Then whoever blinks first can decide the fate of the saga one way or the other.

His legacy could end up being paying Messi £1million a week to moap about the place upsetting the changing room and undermining the new manager’s attempt to rebuild and leaving on a free at the end of all that. Never mind also tainting the relationship of the club with their greatest ever player who incidentally 88% of the fans say should be allowed to leave.
He could however be seen to do the right thing if he can get something out of negotiating with us...
I think he is smart enough to know that.

By all accounts Messi wouldn't even speak to Barto so his dad being here at least kicks off the conversation.

Soriano would not do that, the door has been open to Messi for about 5 years. We are ready and waiting when he is, thats not even a question.
 
Is the president of Barca personally liable for the financial results of the club during his tenure? Think I read somewhere that was the real reason for the Arthur-Pjanic switch. Maybe Bartomeu knows he is fucked financially if Messi leaves for nothing and therefore behaves like he does. Basically he appears to be doing a full Hitler wanting to take the entire Barca reich down in total annihilation with him.

But Messi's strike continues.

Barcelona made some form of offer, and whilst messi's strike continues I'm assuming it's failed. Actions speak louder than words. So far Messi has been silent.

He either leaves his siege engines in place, or he leaves on a free. Either way could work.
