The swiss ramble has on twitter explained the reason why Liverpool dont spend any money

Could any one explain what is the difference from us and Liverpool. We have similar revenue.

How come we and Chelsea can spend money and they not unless they get money from player sale .
@Prestwich_Blue could you explain the difference.
Are our owners still putting money into the club.

It's more like FSG are taking money out of Liverpool. They run on the American sports franchise business model which is to take profits from the club while City's owner's business model is investment and growth.

City are self sufficient, in profit and have no debt. Our owner hasn't put a penny into the club since 2014.

Maybe Liverpool are relying on the loan signing of Vernon VAR again this season, he's versatile and operates in any number of positions.

Some years ago my firm put an ad in the Echo amd we got lots of response. I seem to remember most were liverpool fans which l put down to coincidence.
It seems even then it was a magnet for plastic dipper fans.

From what SR said, and what I've seen, we simply generate more cash than they do. It's hard to be sure, as City don't publish their own cashflow statement (they only do it for CFG), but my guess is that we generate something like £150m free cash per year, whereas Liverpool would typically generate about £100m. They also have to repay debt owed to their parent company related to the building of the new main stand out of that cash, which is about £20m a year I think. So we have more cash to play with.

Fixed.

If only Neil Armstrong would have had the presence of mind to utter the immortal words “This means more” as he stepped into the moon, he really could have made a name for himself.
they should 'dub' over a small step for mankind with 'this means more'......

They don't need too. They have the best players in
VAR & PEN, those two alone will retain it for them.
