Phil Foden to leave England camp

Everybody has to follow the same rules, no matter what sport they play.

Foden might not have any responsibility to you, but he has one to his teammates, both club and national, his managers, ditto, his family and - most importantly, IMHO - his club; the one that you, I and most of the other contributors to this thread support.

You're talking bollocks, mate.
No just that I don't believe footballers are or should be some sort of saints that have to follow some sort of moral rules set by the tabloid media !
He has personally fucked up and he will have too sort out with his family and club, but that's his business.
Also if you feel so hurt and betrayed by this, are you to stick morals and boycott ?

there is a video of the girls outside talking to him and Greenwood on their phone. The phone is on loudspeaker and you can hear everything. It ain’t good listening.... it sounds like Phil is leading the way with the conversation which is pretty disappointing
Aye things have moved on since this morning fella! Think Phil was playing the wingman role tbh as Greenwood had been contacting said girls for a couple of days, turns out I was wrong in my blind faith but I only had the expectations of most blues who feel let down/outraged etc, I was judging what I saw and would reply the same 100 times out of 100 which is always innocent until proven guilty, I certainly wasn’t going to jump on the lad like the twitteratti & doomongers on ere

I don’t give a flying fck what everybody thinks about Covid-19. Its just one big joke. The only frightening thing about it is the way everybody sheepishly follow the rules that are as inconsistent as City were in the late 90-ies.
I just wanna say to Phil Foden: Hope you enjoyed that night as much as you did making your City debut.

Re your first para - that’s how see it.

there’s no indication how long they were there for & from the photos Phil looks totally disinterested. No doubt more will be leaked over the coming days. However, leaks need a source - & it wasn’t either of the lads (stupid as they were getting involved)
Seems they’re drip feeding this one to elongate the whole thing and for maximum effect

We ladies had a night on here where we reclaimed the word, long time again before the pc brigade took over the world and we had the likes of ammy and blueboobies posting, i am a fan of reclaiming words, only ever said it one in my sixty years in real life and the ex deserved it,it was worth it for the shock on his face,i don't have a problem with it written down for the likes of trump ,messi didn't deserve it so I rightly said sorry to the forum
To be fair you are right, I over-use the word nowadays and it loses its impact..........

Sounds like a combination of the lockdown restrictions, being away on tour, and loneliness have affected Phil's mental wellbeing to the point where he's made a poor decision.

There's actually a great film on the loneliness of fame and being alone in a foreign land called Lost In Translation.

In the film, Bill Murray's character is lost in the giant metropolis of Tokyo, wrestling with his fame and inner demons, and finds companionship and escape by courting Scarlett Johanssen's character.

Seeing the film from Murray's perspective, the audience gives little thought to the fact that he's a married man, and empathises with the very real, very troubling pitfalls of his situation.

I think it's a very modern tale that might just give a bit more context to Phil's actions.

Yep, Phil was asking what was going on mostly: "She wants to know what the plan is"... Then she suggested they could go to the hotel but doesn't know how they'd sneak them in. Then Phil questioned why they'd want to come to the hotel. To which Greenwood said "What do you think?" and she said "Yeah bro" what do you think?

There's good chance the deed was done and if that's the case it's none of my business, I just don't think it's a forgone conclusion. She says it wasn't a setup but if it was, there's a good chance not much happened in the hotel room if you think about it. Even if it wasn't a set up, Phil might have decided against it in the end, they both could have. Phil might have smoothed over this change of plan, by reminding them of the following verse:
"We don't have to take our clothes off
To have a good time
Oh no
We could dance and party all night
And drink some cherry wine, oh"

As I said earlier though, I doubt his missus will be buying that, even if he kept it in his pants.
Can we please stop this bollocks? Foden was the instigator. He’s the one who had the direct contact. He’s the one who invited them round. He’s the one on the phone.

To put it to rest, here’s a clearer video of who they were contacting via Snapchat.
