Angelino

Dzeko 7m
Sancho 12m
Angelino 15m
Garcia probably 10m
Sane 40m (55m)
To get less than 100m for those 5 is pretty mental

Perhaps we get percentage of their next sale of Angelino (assuming he moves to RB Lepizig pemantely) or we get an option when they sell Upamencano.

We’re selling a 23yo CL TOTY player for half the price of players like Joelinton, Drinkwater and Iwobi. We’re geniunely shite at selling players. Yeah, we bought him for a very small fee and have made a profit, and he’s just a squad player, but that fee is seriously laughable. If it was the other way around he would be at least double the price

Wasn't Kolarov something like 5m as well? Then you look at how him and Dzeko have both been among some of the best players in Serie A for years.

It's insane. And i don't think it can all be blamed on their wages either.

Leipzig did a job on Txiki here. they had him on loan for 25m pounds fee option to buy.

Instead of buying him for that fee after they were clearly impressed with him they loaning him again for a 18m euros fee to buy.
Ad even that is based on some ames, for example if he is out injured or not played regularly they cn even send him back to City.

Why isn't Txiki forcing other clubs to bid and pay us more. I could do better, I sold him for 25m on football manager.

Cry cry cry cry.
Some proper smacked arses on here, if the club are happy to sell for this fee then it's fair enough.

Let the club get on with it and back them.
This is a shit deal. He was very good for Leipzig last season, so instead of collecting our 30m as originally agreed we're giving them a 10m discount and the deal isn't even guaranteed. If he gets hurt or they choose to bench him he comes right back to us next summer worth even less. Also he's a homegrown player and our current options are Ben Mendy and Zinchenko.

Where did you get that from? Rekik's peak value was 13.5m, his current is 8.5m, we sold him for 4.5m.

On Transfermarket.com under his transfer history market value when we sold him was 3.6 we got 4.5 we sold him in 2015 no way would we keep a player of his caliber till 2018 to reach peak value of 13.5 million or now to reach a market value of 8.5 its just not efficient would end up costing us all the profit in wages and a play would not agree to being loaned out that much or barely featuring just so we could get a few million more over many many years

He was good but not outstanding at RB Leipzig and you never know we will probably get something extra out of the deal in 12 months time

Whatever people think about the deal the club must be happy with it, maybe we have a sell on clause, maybe we have goodwill for a bid for Upmencano or what ever he is called? Maybe Pep just doesn't want him, Maybe we need the funds for another transfer.

Whatever the reasoning behind the deal it must be acceptable to us. I'm happy to see where we are at the end of the window before making a judgement,

So we buy him everyone was happy he arrives he is crap according to everyone we sell him and everyone thinks he is amazing and we are being ripped off
I guess he was always going to be a guy that wouldn’t stay here long. When we bought him for the price we did, it was a clear case of spotting an opportunity for very easy profit towards FFP. He was rated at around 20-25m at the time being linked to PSG. So it was guaranteed profit.

Since that moment Angelino has had a very successful loan and made it into the Champions League Squad of the Season. His stock has risen. So to do a deal for 2m euros upfront and the possibility, but not guarantee, of receiving another 18m euros seems on the low side.

So that’s the issue. We should make a nice accounting profit on him, which was always the plan, but bearing in mind his rave reviews, it should have been a larger one. That’s why it’s a deal that’s being derided by many.

Maybe, but I would guess there is nobody putting in any bids to buy him now for more than 20 mill, or if there is he doesn’t want to go to whoever is bidding so if it’s an obligation to buy at that, there’s nothing to deride.

Maybe we needed him off the books and there was no one else in for him.

Not a lot City can do about that.

Agree there may be market factors that we can't judge here but, on the face of it, it looks like a poor bit of business.

Can live in hope that they're about to give us a belting deal on Upamecano but it seems unlikely.

Funny how putting in a stinker reduces valuation and performing excellently in Bundesliga and getting into the UCL team of the season increases valuation. Can't believe people change opinions based on reality. Magic innit?

That about sums it up.

He could return next year, 3rd time lucky?

He was crap for us, shit the bed with simple passes. He did provide a decent cross tho and worked hard. Good luck to him shame it did not work out.

I say again, all of Europe was aware he was up for sale and Leipzig were not prepared to pay the buy-out clause and yet there were no takers. Simple supply and demand.
I don't rate him, but I know sod-all. One has to assume that the buyers for the rest of the teams in Europe do know something.
