Phil Foden to leave England camp

I think most of those - myself included - who are criticising Foden for his behaviour are doing so because they feel very let down by him.

From the very first time I saw him in that friendly against the rags in America, I’ve been desperate for him to make it to first team regular.

And as soon as he has become established as an integral part of the squad, and a England international, he does something as stupid as this on his first trip away with the senior squad.

To say I’m disappointed in his behaviour is an understatement

oh for fucks sake ...

Didn't follow the thread, so sorry if already asked:

How did they get into contact with the 2 birds, in their bubble?
How long did the birds stay in their room?
How has it been uncovered? Caught when leaving in the morning?

Whether your defending Foden, giving Foden shit or sat on the fence. Take the thread at face value - the lad has made had a few fuckups in the space of a few months at a time where people are under a lot stress due to the pandemic and he's got such a priviledged life that maybe he's struggling to handle because of his age. But he should be learning not making the same mistakes again.

We wouldn't be having this shitty thread if he used a bit of common sense. So let's just hope he's really learned from this and isn't under more scrutiny in the future. We saw how Bernardo went missing for much of last season and the Mendy tweet cannot have helped. Let's hope he gets his head straight.

Why were 2 young players new to the full England set up rooming together?
Should have been sharing with senior internationals to learn from and also to guide them away from the wrong things to do.
Btw Mr Waistcoat how will Harry the convict rebuild your trust?

No you don't understand. I'm not excusing it, it was wrong. I'm just saying it's within the bounds of normal stupidity for an immature or perhaps even averagely mature 20 yr old. If a three year old pisses his pants on a long car journey or at the shops it's wrong - some three year olds have more maturity, but it's hardly abnormal. We all explain the dangers of fire to our kids and they understand, but at some point they will play with matches. I'm not excusing him, or saying it's ok, I'm saying the reaction is ott and a bit obsessive. I mean the photos posted of his arse hanging out in a hotel room on here by adults - is that more normal and acceptable than a young lad going back to his room with a lass?
Worth remembering that Ryan Giggs was a model professional.
why bring gigs in this.

If he's so sorry he should donate a weeks wages to charity

Just another privileged berk who thinks he can do as he pleases

Sick to death of his kind

Okay Mods isn't it about time we did away with this thread. People are starting to think they're private investigators and making stuff up. It's bringing out the worst in people and it's not doing the club or Phil any favours.

hear hear, would have put money on it NOT being him,saw the picture of him with his son, and " life don't get much better than this " speech, was looking forward to the season ,with him getting plenty of game time, fans can be bastards, not talking about blues, but he is going to get some shit, just hope he can handle it .

Disappointing, he is young and everyone makes mistakes and dumb decisions at some point in their life. This was a pretty big dumb decision though.

It's a 4/10 on the stupid meter, but I was doing worse things when I was 20. I don't know what the set-up is with him and his partner, and I don't really care, so that part is between them. If he gets his head down in training it won't impact anything much and all will be forgotten by the first game of the season.

There are threads on here that make me like my fellow blues less, and this is one of them.

You criticise others but what do you think of Foden , as in Disrespecting his manager, breaking A Countrys Covid protocol, and being unfaithful to the partner he has children with.?????

Interesting...?
Oh yes pal it was “ interesting alright”
Lampard , Ferdinand hendrie all England u21 in there ... I’ve seen better behaved players Too be fair Southgate was probably the best behaved of the lot I remember Lampard getting thrown out of the club as we were all going in.
Total carnage my lot was any better to be honest .
